This, also Elf take it a day at a time. Forget about a 'treat day' forget about saying if I have this X I will excercise for 30min tonight. Thats just wrong. Look at each meal, see what you can sub the high cal stuff with, think about volumetrics, think about whats actually in the food you are eating, it may be low cal be look at all the additives in it and stuff.

I personally think you are putting far, far to much pressure on yourself. You constantly worry about what you are eating/doing/thinking/reading and worry about what other people think of you. Also I feel you are an all or nothing girl, if it goes wrong you let it effect you. If you have something high in cal then draw a line under that meal/food and move on. Don't dwell on what you can't change dwell on what you can, ie your next meal.

I think you need to take some time out, weightloss isn't a number on the scales it's how you feel. If you feel fit/fine but are 300lbs are you going to let the number dictate your life?

*edit, Oh and body shape is 85% the food you eat. Excercise can tone your body but it can't change your shape. Eating right will mean you lose the fat, this is mainly what gives us our 'shape'. You can excercise till you are blue in the face but if you are still eating junk it will make little/no difference.

The bit in bold is especially true pap, some of it I can link to my mental stuff, some of it is just me. I worry cos I have paranoia issues with damn near everyone and everything in the world, and I don't know how to break it. There's not a lot of additives in what I eat (well, in the sauces and takeaway there is) cos I have to make damn near everything from scratch. I don't know HOW to give myself a break, I don't know what the bloody word means when it comes to me

I knew it was true Elf, because I see so much of me in you. Especially regarding my weight/issues I had with myself. During my ongoing journey I changed, I hope you can make that change too, although I do appreciate that with some of your issue it will be much harder.

I wish I could tell you what to do to calm down and take a break but you need to figure that out for yourself. Why don't you start taking it a day at a time, and stop trying to be so blooming perfect (said in a nice way). Everyone has blips with everything, be it money/diet/uni/college/parenting etc, no one is perfect and striving for perfection will only wear yourself out.

Just be you, tackle one thing regarding your life at one time. So for instance get your food right before excercise. I know you use excercise as an aid though so don't give it up but if you want to skip gym don't feel guilty. If at lunch you want a choclate bar have it, but one, in moderation. That doesn't mean you skip tea/excercise to re-align your calories. It means you had chocolate at lunch, and you won't have another today but tommorow I may have ice cream if I feel like it :rotfl: Its getting some balance, you can have whatever you want in moderation...

Perfection is boring, as my sig said yesterday ;)

Thanks Pooky, its ended I promise. I think I started it due to work problems and the fact I can't be bothered to cook lately. Oh how I miss CD with no prep :rotfl: However I do promise that I will eat normally as of tomorrow, 3 meals a day ;) I have to practice what I preach eh :rotfl:

pap - thank you. I do try not to be perfect, but when you've had that pressure on you the whole of your life how do you manage to break free of it and not have it bother you. It's kinda hard when you're the only one at a different school and the only one capable of getting high marks which you don't do cos of the pressure, it's just there, constantly and I can't escape it, no matter how hard I try. I am trying to do things day by day, but I like to have some form of routine so I don't get stressed and start being self-destructive.

Elf, I understand but right here, right now what pressure do you have? Apart from your debt and you exciting trip to Finland and your rocky relationship (unless I have missed something) you have no-one to prove yourself/be perfect to. You just need to be yourself. Your past hasn't been the best it could be but you can change that now, you can decide to let that hinder your life in the future or you can ue it as a spring board to get where you are going.

Please take each day as it comes, be yourself, be the best you can be in that moment. If you get stressed take Butti's advice and let off steam here. I think we all would rather you rant and rave here than cause yourself harm (in many ways) offline.

*I am saying this all out of kindness, I am not trying to upset you in any way, I just wish you were closer ;)*

I am right proud of that image. I had it in my head but didn't think I could do it with my limited software but it worked :j At the moment nothing as I am still tinkering. I will have to hand it over to you soon ;)
