  • Have just done my CCCS review with a lovely lady... took 15 minutes, and nothing has changed, which is good. Also told her about the Redetermination hearing that I have on 17th:eek: and she talked me through what was likely to happen, so I feel much better about it :)

    Hope you are all well...?

    Sx

look back though my posts - I have been to 2 hearings :( and survived both - one in particular was extremely satisfying!

  • Today I got all my paperwork together, sat down and did the CCCs debt remedy.

seeing it in black and white was pretty scary but in a way also a relief because I know it's the first step on the road to being debt free. It's not going to be easy but hey I got into this debt so I'm damn well going to get out of it!

The woman I spoke to from CCCs had me in tears, she was so lovely and helpful, and a DMP certainly seems the way forward.

All being well I hope to start my DMP in February.

I just wanted to pop by and say 'hello' - I really am beginning to think there is light at the end of the tunnel.

    Hello and welcome!
The light is definately at the end of the tunnel for us all. Sometimes it seems a bit further away than others but it's still shining there somewhere. :)
As you say the people at CCCS are usually so helpful and non-judgemental. Hope the set up goes smoothly for you.

And a Happy New Year to all - I hope in the troubled financial year ahead, we will maybe weather the storm better than some. If you are already a 'have not' you are already skilled at making every penny count! :D

Hi everyone and a Happy New Year. Had a letter from CCCS today stating that Littlewoods are not accepting our DMP as they have a query on our budget?? They also said that Littlewoods would possibly pass this debt onto a DCA and default the account. Other than that all other creditors have accepted but still no word from any of the payday loans but I assume they are accepting the DMP payments.
    :( Halifax Loan £6,511, Halifax O/D £1,300
Next Catalogue £576.66, Capital One £397.31
Vanquis £266, Marshall Ward £656.04, Argos Card £1300.:(
 Plus 3 Payday Loans  NEVER AGAIN!!

Might well be a good thing is if your Littlewoods debt is passed on. Better a default on your account sooner than later, and often times any interest will be stopped.
Don't worry if you are defaulted. Used to nearly poo (I'm so common! ;)) myself at the thought that my virgin white credit history was in ruins, but now - so what? Life goes on, and there are far worse things happening in the world. it's never been a problem with changing utility/car/house services etc.

Hi Twitty, thanks for your advice. I'm starting to realise now that if we default then we default we are doing all we can to pay back our debts. :) Happy New Year to you.
