"Am I right in thinking you're doing your own DMP, and you've sent recorded letters to each with your Budget (Financial Statement) and suggested payment?
It will take time. With the phonecalls, are you answering them? And if so do you explain the position? As if you do they should put the calls on hold for a week or so."
thanks ian and i have been ignoring all calls last few weeks as they arent listening to me explaining my dmp.
I have received a reply today from capital one (the first)
Heres the general message
Unfourtunatley we are unable to set a payment plan as you did not indicate which plan you require (what the hell does that mean?)
There are two types of plan option.either long term or a short term plan.
We encourage you to send these details to us promptly
please continue to make payments to your account
Does this mean they have accepted my suggested payment? What is a long term or short term option?
Nice to get a reply but now confused!0 -
Phew have now got new bank account sorted:jand now have the job of the switching everything over.
Will then need to send all bit's and bob's to CCCS as i have held off doing this untill i know our income etc is safe.
This is one less thing to worry about and i now feel that i can get sorted a bit more.
(Although printer is playing up and i have to print off some bank statements for CCCS, bloomin typical it was working fine last week)
I have zilch money at the mo and the cupboards are bare:eek: as all the money in the bank has to cover the dd's due out at the weekend so roll on payday, can't do car boot as not much left to sell so will probably end up going cap in hand to good old mum bless her.
I really wish i hadn't paid the min payment on 3 cc's at the beginning of the month as i would have had more to play with:mad: it just goes to show how strongly i relied on cc's as by now i would normally have borrowed back off them to keep me going for the rest of the month, how stupid!!!0 -

Hi
Capital One gave me two options at the beginning of my DMP, the first option was a short term repayment plan, say 6 months then payments would return to normal, ideal if your current situation is temporary. The second option was a long term repayment plan, basically they will accept your repayment plan until the debt is paid off in full but a Default Notice will be issued straight away. I went with the second option and 18 months in everything is still running smoothly with them. TBH they have been great with me.DMP mutual support thread member:3270 -
Just had word back from PayPlan that Egg and CompuCredit (Monument) have accepted the payment terms from me.
2 down 7 to go
I do like good news, no matter how small it may seem (especially on a Friday)

Good news on The Santander front guys !
I decided to give them a call today rather than spend the whole weekend worrying.
I spoke to a lovely lady in the collections department, who explained that there had been a mistake at their end and that no charges would be added to my account this month. She also told me that should any be added to give her a call and she would remove them as they are quite happy with my repayment plan.
If the charges do get added to my account at the end of the month I will give them a call and keep you guys up to date.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.DMP mutual support thread member:3270 -
Evening All!
Another week till pay day and the budget money has gone AWOL again.....It is is cold/wet/foggy/dark outside.
This is the pre-Christmas slump period - lots of worrying about how to manage, but it's still much too far away from that priceless warm glow of love with family and friends
SO - how about a virtual 'DMP Christmas Panto' to cheer us up?
Cinderella would be good. (Think poor, impoverished, downtrodden worker here!)
Ian and Scouse are perfect for the ugly sisters. And who else to play the Fairy Godmother but 'The Tooth Fairy?' Creditors can be the rats. There could be lots of booing, hissing etc from all.
Now where we will find a gobby, hardworking blonde for the main role??? :rotfl:
'Twitty'
Just a wee update from me, now 14 months in, £13900 paid off, so a quarter of the way there, nearly.
Still having problems with Sainsburys Visa. They denied hearing from Payplan after my annual review, saying that as my year had expired, they added on £103 to my bill. To be fair, when I emailed PP, they were able to prove the 'paper trail' and got me back £78. That's one to be careful of, mind, it seems they will do anything to rob you!
All our other creditors have been cool, even Halifax have wound their necks in, (they would need to, we've paid them £7k), I would def. recommend keeping a big file, when a statement arrives, I write on it what last months' total was compared to our original credit limit. It makes interesting reading!
Hope everyone is coping well,
ttfx
Ps Who Had a birthday on the 17th that came to my mind, was it you Chilli, or Sugar? Hope I'm not making stuff up again, haha!:j:hello::hello::jDMP mutual support thread member 3480 -
