  • Hi Guys

I haven't posted in a while as my DMP has ran smoothly for a while, until yesterday

I have received a statement from Santander who took over my A&L Overdraft a few months ago, anyway the statement says that they will be adding £100 of charges to my account at the end of this month. My outstanding balance is only £200 and I have made all of the agreed repayments via CCCS. It seems as though they no longer wish to play ball. Anyway I've asked CCCS to contact them on my behalf and I am in the process of sending them a begging letter :). £100 of charges is more than half of my total DMP payment :( If these charges are added to my account then every payment I have made via CCCS will be totally wiped out. Just when you think everything is running fine, something always sets you back in this game.

    Hiya Scouse
That's a another kick in the teeth isn't it?
Apologies can't help much, but is there any way you could acquire the £200 outstanding? I realise that favouring one creditor over another is a no-no, but it seems such a crying shame to upskittle everything for such an amount. :( Could you beg relatives for a 'cash' present instead of more socks, after-shave etc this Christmas?
Hope the begging, pleading works and Santander see sense, as you have complied with your DMP terms.
Failing that, I understand there is lots of part-time work going for males with hairy faces wearing red suits at the moment :D
    Hope you get them sorted!

still no replies a week later

i just want one reply please

    Hi
Think we all tend to 'dip' in and out of this thread so may not be around all the time and sometimes queries get missed. :(
So sorry if someone has not popped up with an answer or support for you.
I dd look back over a couple of pages. You're obviously feeling the pain at the moment, but I thought your posts had been responded to.
As to the 'group hug' emoticon - if you click the (More) at the bottom of the right hand panel of icons, it will open up a whole new selection! :search: Just click on the one you want, then on 'close this window'
The start is always the worst. I lost weight, didn't sleep etc. But whatever comes your way later on, it won't be so difficult as it is now.
You will gain confidence, and deal with issues as they arise.
Please post again if you need help/advice.
If one person can't answer, then hopefully there is someone who will.

Another week till pay day and the budget money has gone AWOL again..... :o It is is cold/wet/foggy/dark outside. :(
This is the pre-Christmas slump period - lots of worrying about how to manage, but it's still much too far away from that priceless warm glow of love with family and friends :)
SO - how about a virtual 'DMP Christmas Panto' to cheer us up?
Cinderella would be good. (Think poor, impoverished, downtrodden worker here!)
Ian and Scouse are perfect for the ugly sisters. :D And who else to play the Fairy Godmother but 'The Tooth Fairy?' Creditors can be the rats. There could be lots of booing, hissing etc from all.
Now where we will find a gobby, hardworking blonde for the main role??? :rotfl:

    Hi Twitty

Thank's for your reply, it certainly cheered me up ;)
I've been on a bit of a downer since I read my statement last night, but we have to expect these little problems as a DMP is never set in stone and things can change at the touch of a hat. It seems that keeping to your end of the bargain doesn't mean that your creditor will ;) I know from previous experience.

Anyway CCCS have sent the documents and my own letter will be in the post tomorrow morning, so it's a case of wait and see. I have to admit I have thought about borrowing the cash from my family if Santander won't help me, but they will be adding the £100 in fees on the 27th of this month anyway,so now I will need to find £300 and right on top of Christmas. Hopefully they may see sense :rotfl:

Hope things are well with you.
