Ann did you go to the supermarket?
Yes, and I am back now!
I am on my 3rd load of washing (reds, blues, whites).
Very patriotic - given a certain football match tomorrow!
Elsie Ann's thread is making us assertive i think. So well done!!!
    And long may it continue!

Ann. Sorry I wasn't around when you had your 'wobbly'. You are incredibly brave putting up with all the hassle. I think you should change your name to lionann because you're certainly not a mouse now.

    Thanks Pixie,

Like the name suggestion - but I could not have got where I am without all the support from everyone on here!

And I have received some more post - relating to the account which Niddy thinks is enforceable. Will be emailing Niddy for his invaluable opinion but I think all the paperwork is in order. Oh well!

Just been catching up with my friend in Australia and now I'm going out in the garden. I might do some gardening or I might just sit there with my book :D

Hi, SW an All, My head's still hurting from last night. I think I need "hair of the dog" but I'm gonna wait til the footballl starts, c'mon Ghana. I'd like an African nation to do well but I think the Americans will do them. SW what would you like to know? I told yis all I like shoplifting during my lunchhour. I l get a lot of enjoyment scaring my niece (5) and nephew (3). I took them through the car wash machine ( they'd never been before) and told them that a monster was coming!

Hi all, thought I'd posted earlier in the week but can't find anything, could be because I'm so darn tired that I didn't press send.

I've skimmed some pages but didn't have the time to read all the info. Good news about the PPI Di Any other good news I've missed?
I hope Ms Moneypenny's first day back went well at work. It is so hot. I might have a lie down.

Yes I hope Ms MoneyPenny's first day back went okay too, I was wondering earlier.;)

Have a lie down SW, it is very hot indeed, I don't blame you. X:)

First day nearly killed me, slept for 4 hours after I got home. Tuesday and Wednesday slept both days but not so long, Thursday and Friday didn't sleep but went to bed early.

I'm just wondering if I can make it back full time after the end of next week.

Anyhow, it's the weekend and there's only 4 weeks now till the end of term so we'll have to see how it goes. Roll on the summer hols lol

I've just spent a couple of hours working out how long it will take me to be debt free. I've managed to put one £8k debt on my zero card so that gives me another year of 0% interest rates, so I'll keep on paying min payment on that. Managed to move half my Egg card onto 0% at a 3% charge but left with about another 4k which is charging me 16/9% Need to get that moved soon but can't really make another application. as yet. It pains me to pay these people interest.

So I'll carry on paying minimum payments on the 0% cards for now and concentrate all my efforts into getting the Egg card paid off as quickly as possible. The good news is that I received a letter from Nat West saying that my fixed rate comes to an end in Sept and my payments if the interest rate stays the same will go down from £429 to £272 so that will give me another £150 per month to put into payments from Oct and when my car loan comes to an end in Jan another £220 a month from then. So hopefully, fingers crossed I should have halved my debts from 20 odd K to just under 10k in just over a year.

I know all sorts of rubbish might happen in between but if I can get anywhere near that figure I'll be very happy.

On another front, a job has come up in Guernsey that I'm thinking of applying to. A big change from working in London but who knows, it could be fun. Five year contract, lower taxes, more perks and better weather, wish me luck.:D

Gosh, Moneypenny, you really do sound in control!!!

Good luck with the job application - presumably you can apply and have a look with no compulsion to accept if it is offered? And it will be an added bonus if they pay your travel and accommodation! Guernsey does sound lovely - think the winters are much milder there. (Not that it's cold in London) :rotfl:

Best of luck whatever you decide.
