LOL now there's a first, me cultured rofl
I've just eaten rainbow trout, new potatoes and minted peas all with lemon herb butter.
I've also cooked a fritatta with some ham that I bought from the reduced shelf in tesco.
Oh I am being a good girl. I've just watched Dr Who and I'm about to watch Casulty, then got a dvd to lull me to sleep..0 -
And of course they the unit are only allowing 2 visitors at one time until further notice, however we have to still ring daily in case anything changes.
Sorry if I missed anyone and if you have gone to bed, Sweet dreams.:AThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Came back late from supermarket. I have had a fantastically expensive healthy food shop and i spent a fair bit on chocolates for my students too.
Everyone have a goodnight. Big hugs, how unusual i am awake and it is late for me. I feel like a grown up!!!!Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Oh my gosh. I saw a man with tattoos on the back of his head, arms, legs and everything. Gosh that must have hurt. I was going to ask him but he was huge so i thought it was best not to. His wife had lots too. I forgot to say the supermarket had a whole aisle devoted to World Cup flags, disposable plates and things for World Cup parties. They must be making a tremendous amount of money out of it. I do hope England do well tomorrow.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Just having a catch up before I go to bed. Went to a barbecue and then watched the USA v Ghana game.
I really hope England do well tomorrow but I'm a bit nervous about opening my mouth after the Algeria game :rotfl:
I'm hoping to watch the match in the pub but it depends on how my daughter is feeling because she's not been well today (if I go, it will be with her and son-in-law.) Also feeling nervous because, if I watch the football in the pub, I will probably see the guy from FridayWatch this space!!!!

I am sure you are right, Moneypenny.
I really love visiting London but the pace is quite hectic and I always feel a bit of a "country bumpkin" when I go there!
But it doesn't have to be expensive - the galleries and museums are free (unless the government have a change of heart on this!) and the food and drink at the pubs and wine bars are cheaper than they are at some of the twee gastro pubs around here!
One of my dreams is to go to an opera or ballet at Covent Garden. Have wandered around there and been inside the Royal Opera House - but only for a drink! Perhaps one day .....
Not much to catch up on. What has everyone been doing?
I feel ashamed to admit this but I've never been to LondonI've been through it but have never visited.

Dont worry. That is because you live up North. Up north, I have only been to Haworth, Granada Studios and Leeds University - i am utterly ashamed!!!! There is so much to see I feel like such a hick. I will shut up now before i humiliate myself any further. I went on a guided tour of Scotland and loved it a while ago. Goodnight.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220
