All this talk of hotels in Liverpool has set off my memory.

I remember the very posh Adelphi hotel - only ever went in there for a drink - is it still there?

Probably renamed/part of a chain now - if it hasn't been demolished!

No it's still there Ann in all it's glory! Niddy was going to stay there but unfortunately it has not been modernised and is a little outdated so I advised against it. Awesome in it's day, loads of history and famous people have stayed there.

It was on a fly on the wall documentary a few years back ann, prob on you tube somewhere if you don't already know.

Have a good weekend yourself, Libbyjade.

Crumbs Ann i am so proud of you. The pigs, how dare they. Niddy's letter will scare them off for good I am sure. Gosh how dare they. At least he had the decency to leave, probably felt completely ashamed of himself. You are so brave. Well done. I would have been scared. I cannot believe how well you dealt with it. Thank goodness for Niddy's advice.

I reckon they have employed big people to scare the people they visit. Glad you coped. I hope you have had a good drink and treated yourself well with some serious calories since. Poor swanfan has had to deal with this too. I am so sorry i had no idea. It is frightening. Just remember his Niddyness is here and Mr George and it will be ok.

Mr Niddy, Mrs Niddy and the Libbyjades (that has a nice ring doesn't it?) do have a fab time in Liverpool. I liked the Beatles. I do however have a rather strong penchant for The Stones (Ruby Tuesday, Paint it Black). Does anyone like Lou Reed?

Paint it black - listening to it now. I got to know them due to the film Vietnam when i was 18! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1ocYdZGN_4&feature=related

Eek dont watch vid. Bit distressing due to nature of film. Close eyes and listen to music.

    Hi SW,

I like Lou Reed - also Leonard Cohen. Quite daring in his day!

And thanks for the remarks re the "visitor" - at least I know what to expect!

    Hi Di,

The telly schedules are a real pain for anyone who doesn't like football!

Not into soaps myself, but I can commiserate. At least there will be tennis next week for those who may be interested. Still sport but the only one that remotely interests me!

Hope Lloyds get the act together soon!
