I know you did say that on an earlier post. I still can't get over them sending someone, I did really think they were only threats.

I think you did handle it well, you could quite easily have gone to pieces or even worse it could have made people not as strong as you have a panic attack or something. Don't mis-judge how well you did cope :T

Yeah, should be good. Unmasking the Niddy hey. lol
I may take some pictures and see if any of the daily rags will offer me millions for them! :rotfl:

    Hi Libbyjade.

    Not offended at all!

I did say myself that the bloke in question was getting bigger on each post! Probably in inverse proportion to the size of his brain!

Not sure I handled it well - I just reacted, really!

Wouldn't want to meet him on a dark night, though!

Enjoy your weekend with the Niddies.

    Jen,

I've just re-read your post and saw that you were talking about the new Hilton rooms being awesome :rotfl: I think I'll go back into hiding now with my tail between my legs :o

All this talk of hotels in Liverpool has set off my memory.

I remember the very posh Adelphi hotel - only ever went in there for a drink - is it still there?

Probably renamed/part of a chain now - if it hasn't been demolished!

I thought that as well, when the letter arrived yesterday!

    Yeah, quality song Ann.
So many quality songs to choose from. I have so many favourites too. A day in the life, this boy... so so many!

Yeah a poll would be good, not sure ho you'd do that though.

I agree, George is my favourite too.

    Hi Libbyjade,

I totally and fully support this!

Especially some of their lyrics - Eleanor Rigby, for starter.

Perhaps we should have a poll for our favourite Beatle song - except it would be very difficult to choose just one!

George is my favourite Beatle, though.

Incidentally, the postie arrived about half-an-hour ago!

    Nothing sinister at all!

Only one item, which gave me a slight panic when I saw Bank of Scotland on the envelope. Turned out to be junk mail for household insurance!!!

I actually saw them at the Cavern early in 1963 - before they became famous!

And all I could remember was that the walls in the place were dripping with condensation!

I like A day in the life and also while my guitar gently weeps.

    Hello all,

Just to report that, while I was in the middle of writing the "debt sold whilst in dispute" letter I actually had a doorstep visit - about 15 minutes ago!

I did answer the door and bloke was absolutely huge! Wearing a shirt with a "resolvecall" logo - as if I had any doubt! And he had a clipboard!

Anyway, I put on my best assertive voice and told him that I did not want to discuss this matter on the doorstep and that the account was in dispute! He just said "OK" - and that he was obliged to give me the notice telling me about my arrears!

I am still shaking while I type this - but at least I know what it feels like!

Question is, do I still send the "account sold...." letter or is there something stronger I can use? Considering that the notification arrived after 4 p.m. yesterday and the bloke turned up at 12:45 doesn't exactly give much time to pay them! Not that I had any intention of doing that!

Overall, I think I am quite pleased at the way I acted - still can't get over how big he was!
