I'm thinking of getting this for mid-march but I don't know where to stay and what are good places to stay at!
But brilliant price for the trip!Waddle you do eh?0 -
Just tried to get Virgin to price match as I'm a flying club member - and they weren't interested. Just said "our published fares are on our internet site"0

Have just searched on flights for this, they have plenty left for 4 night break from 29/11/06 to 3/12/06 (ideal for Xmas shopping! :T ) Prob is, finding reasonable central hotels to stay in. If you are ok with a hostel or shared bathroom, there's loads at good prices, but if you want better hotel quite centrally situated, you are looking at paying between £300-£400 for the 4nights!
Good luck!0 -
Just thought I'd let it be known to those that are flexible in their dates: thanksgiving is the 23rd November this year and there's a big parade in New York. NYC Tourist has some details.0

I've discovered (after booking through ebookers for £171!) that Continental Airlines at https://www.continental.com/ have direct £160 return flights to New York (Newark - 16 miles from central Manhattan) from Gatwick with easy availability and choice of flights!0

I bought flights from Birmingham Intl to NYC-Newark three weeks ago for £330 each, travelling in December AND including a Saturday evening. I found the £160 flights on their website. I'm slightly gutted:mad:0

Anyone have any cheap places to stay in NY. The flight prices are excellent but the hotel prices are still pretty high!0
-
I just had a look at Expedia with flights from Gatwick to New York on the 25th November, returning on 1st December, for £170pp inc taxes. This is flying with Continental Airlines. Has Delta started a price war?:money: = LEGEND0

Grovers, you';ve probably got a £10 admin fee on top that puts it up to £170, maybe?
As for cheap hotels, the Herald Square Hotel on 31st St (near the ESB) has been reccommended to me by a friend, and having checked out the Trip Advisor comments, we booked it, £250 for four nights.0
