£160 (inc taxes!) LGW-JFK

Oh no, wish I had got this e-mail yesterday as I booked Virgin flights to New York on their Bank Holiday sale for £199 each!! Too late now to ask Virgin to price match.

I paid £199 per adult and £179 for the child, £779 for the 4 flights. Would have cost me £641 with Delta!!We are flying Delta to Orlando at Christmas so are collecting Delta and Virgin airmiles.

Nothing I can do, is there?

If you are interested.. there were quite alot of seats empty on the seating plan (when i choose my seat)..

Thanks for the info - within 15 minutes of reading about this I booked a flight to see my daughter for her 21st birthday! Going out on 9 December and returning on 16th, £160.40 round trip, so return travel is possible after 15th December. Thanks again! :T

I have just booked 2 flights for the final qualifying date (21March 2007 and a return on 26th). The plane looks almost empty on the seat plan!

Change the option to Schedule

DELTA 2 for the outbound

and

DELTA 1 for the inbound.

Good work blindman. Though I would like to say that the fares now come up if you search in the normal way to, i.e. by price. They came up this morning, didn't a couple of hours later (so booked elsewhere) and now are coming up again.

It could be either that they've released more seats for the deals or the servers were so busy that other people were holding the flights in their baskets and after not purchasing them they are back up for sale.

Either way, blindman's method works well and there are loads left! I'm glad I only paid £11 more through ebookers.com and as that is still an amazing deal I'm not too bothered. Hope this helps someone.
