I second Ken's tactic - for the extra £11 with ebookers, more dates are available and journey times are almost halved! I got March 20th-27th. Journey times - 8hrs 10mins there, 7hrs 20 back.
Thanks to the OP and Ken!!!0 -

I want to go across to the West Coast (LA/San Diego) while in the US. Any advice on internal flights from NY?

Cheers Ken. I was able to find the flights with Delta when I tried this morning. However, having checked with the other half that she could do the dates, it wouldn't play ball, giving me multi-hop flights with 17hr stop overs in Atlanta! I tried ebookers and they cost me an extra £16 in total, so no big loss, when I take my quidco discount and nectar points!0 -
BOOKED!
Successfully booked through ebookers.com 23rd Nov to 27th November direct flights LGW>JFK all in for £171. Excellent stuff. Thanks to OP, Weggy and Ken.
Now just gonna look for a hotel on priceline. Thanks for pointing that out blindman.0 -
BIG TIP
If your dates are not coming up with direct flights at the £160 inc price then click on the 'Search By Schedule' link at the top of the flight results table
This then returns the cheap flights.
OR
You can also select the Search by schedule at the beginning of the search.
Using this link
In the AreaIs price or schedule more important to you?
Price Schedule
Put in your dates and in the results choose
DELTA 2 for the outbound
and
DELTA 1 for the inbound.

This is where the deal is. Normally I wouldn't put a specific deal so high up in the e-mail. Yet this is so cheap, for many people even with a connecting flight or train journey it is likely to undercut the cost of travelling from an airport more local to you.
