Another dishawasher lover here i wouldnt be without it. Its a full size ariston and goes on most days its the kids job to load and unload it which they winge about (they only have two jobs thats keep their own rooms tidy and load and unload the dishwasher) until i point out that without it their chore would be to wash everything up by hand.:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Someone says that they have to wait ages to fill their dishwasher with 4 kids you will not have a problem waiting to fill a slimline dishwasher - your problem will be waitig for it to finish to refill! A slimline is not going to be big enough. I have had a dishwasher for 20+ years and would not go back.
I have recently made it my DD's job to load and unload the dishwasher and she moans, but as I point out she gets extra money for chores, doesn't stop her moaning though.0 -
Sme here we have had dishwashers now for 26yrs and would not like to go without one, only 2 of us now and the slim is just about big enough but still do 1 wash a day. BTW they are great for when you need reading glasses they clean them fantastic.Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.0

I have a slimline and it holds enough for 4. Wouldn't have enough dishes to keep them out of circulation for longer anyway. I've never put a wok in it but a large le creuset casserole fits ok.
Mine is a Zanussi, over 10 years old and one repair so far.
We also have a slimline Zanussi. 15 years old and only 1 repair.0 -

I'm so jealous. I've wanted one since I was a little girl but we REALLY don't have room for one. When I first bought the house I did seriously consider whether I wanted to have a dishwasher but no washing machine but I think the thought of handwashing clothes is slightly worse than doing the dishes (only just, mind
) Updating soon...0 -
I had a slimline Zanussi one which lasted 16 years until earlier this year it finally gave up the ghost. Now im at breaking point with all the arguing about washing up - so am about to buy another one - and dont ever want to be without again!!!0

i have a full sized whirlpool that i have run everyday for the last 12 years
i noticed right away how my hands stopped aching, so wouldn't ever go back
downside is there are no family activities around the washing up (bonding while one washes and one dries and one puts away)0 -
I live by myself and have a slimline one - I would not be without it, I have much better things to be doing than messing about with dirty water and washing!
I grew up in a house with a dishwasher and really missed it when I first moved out, first thing I sorted out when I moved to my second place was the dishwasher.
Get one and you'll wonder how you did without it!Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Just to add, I wouldn't be without my dishwasher! We had a full sized one for a couple of years and it was great, then I had 18 months of washing up while renting as there was no room - boo hiss and now we have a slimline one in our new house. Full sized is better but slimline does the job. Our biggest plates wont fit and sometimes we have to load twice after a massive meal but then our tall wine glasses wouldn't go in the old one and they do in this one as they can be leaned! Some people feel the need to rinse everything but we never bother. Burt on stuff has to be done by hand (or go in a couple of times), but that is okay. It is lovely when you have finished a meal to have everything clear in 5 mins flat (I usually empty ours from earlier on while prepping dinner). Usually ours goes on once a day (occasionally twice). We have a Beko one it is about 9 months old now and has been fine.
