Getting a dishwasher to make life easier?

Hi all Am thinking about getting a dishwasher as part of my 'strategy':D to make life that little bit easier with baby#4 coming along in a few months. It would be one of the slimline ones as that's all we have room for in our kitchen. I/we seem to spend a good chunk of time each day washing up and feel it would be worth…

I would be lost without my DW!

I am disabled and my hands dont work well, so I load when I can and am able to do so but DD's job each morning is to empty the DW, so it works well. OH doesnt put his decent pans in there though, but he washes them.

It is actually cheaper and better for the enviroment using a DW to handwashing according to an article I was reading a few weeks back.
