My name is astons mummy and i'm a mseholic!
No seriously though, this is practically the only site i ever come on unless i go on a site through alink from here!
It's the best site in the world! I'm always saying things like 'on mse...' everyone around me just looks at me with blank expressions when i talk about this website with such enthusiasm!
The thing is k'm a single mum with no social life so what else am i supposed to do? Come 7pm when spud's tucked up in bed i have 2 choices, sit and watch telly or sit and have discussions, help people, get help, save money, make money, find out new things, the list goes on!
Sometimes i think omg how sad am i, having 'virtual friends' but then i think, well most of my friends areen't on the same wavelength as me (not being nasty) and i can relate to alot of people on here and feel more comfortable talking about my life than with my 'non virtual friends'
I absolutely love this site and the people here!!
Love to ya all!!
PS: dont u think Martin should get one of those award things from the queen (if he doesnt hae one already!):j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

I don't call saving money sad
Not totally addicted but pop in most days. Also the support when things aren't going fantastic is great.
One day I might be more organised...........

I sit down with a coffee and have a read through it's much more interesting then reading the paper or watching the tv.0

my OH definitely thinks I'm sad and addicted. He asks me everyday how the money saving experts are doing!! I don't mind though, I enjoy coming on this site everyday, looking for and sharing ideas (if i can!!!)
It keeps me focussed and it's helping me to bring down my debt so it's all good!!!:jOfficial DFW Nerd - Member 408 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -
Every time I feel a bit low I think of SS's car mats and that brings a smile to my face. It's because of so many people here that I manage to keep myself sane. OH commented the other day that I spend more time with my 'cyber friends' than my real friends. But I'm happy to keep coming to the MSE site and reading about other people, their courage, their helplessness when other people come on very quickly and lift them up, etc. Would I get that from my friends at the click of a button? No, I don't think so!
Power to MSE and all those who support others. I don't know where I would be if I wasn't here.
Hugs to all.0 -
it's been really comforting to realise I'm not alone with my debt and sleepless nights. Actually, I was relying on winning the lottery
but, sense has prevailed and I am now intending to do it the MSE way. I love this site and it's definitely a daily habit. Thanks everyone.

I love it here ! As many others have said it's a big reality check each morning.
The friendly community spirit is so much more supportive and unassuming than many other forums.
Diversity of subjects from how to clean your oven, to stopping smoking and build a website, get the best deal on your holiday and discuss Nicki/Simon Cowell/Maria - amazing !
