Well as the mug on here who paid up front the £1199, we have requested a refund of our monies (IPG did say that if at any point we were uneasy about the transaction they would refund in full - but within 14 days). Well, after some difficult phone calls when they said they wouldn't refund, it's over a week now and not even an acknowledgement of our letter requesting said refund (sent by recorded delivery and, as to what is basically a Po Box address, Post Office couldn't even validate it). We have phoned IPG numerous times and they said that they must have request for refund in writing. If any such refund is forthcoming will at once notify this thread. BTW our offer was some (potentially) £20+K over asking price, location Cleveland, viewer Mr Paul Brown. IPG hope you are listening in, if you are legit then money back please and even I might eat some humble pie and you are off the hook. If not well I think a few people are quite rightly now observing your practices very closely.0

What a cracking thread! I don't want to hazard a (public) guess as to whether inforeq is in cahoots with these merchants but the phrase “the lady does protest too much” springs very much to mind. If you’re genuine then be sure to pop back when the deal falls apart to apologise to all the awful people on here who tried to warn you off it.0

The contracts are between IPG as the finder, ourselves and the named buyer. I have already said that in an earlier posting.
No, in earlier postings you categorically stated the contract was between you and IPG, there was no mention of the buyer so your story has changed a bit here. It's only today you've said the buyer is party to the contract.
Regardless, neither you or bettyboooop appear to want to clarify exactly who "IPG" are? Is it "Investment Property Group", "Invest P G Ltd", "The Letting Agent Ltd" or yet another party? It also states that if we pull out of the deal then we will owe the fees anyway.according to our solcitior, we actually cant loose, only time and and hassle should they draw the process out that long that we have to pull out.
You are contradicting yourself, according to your earlier post you will lose £1199 if you pull out.If the price on the property rises in the next six months, maybe that is what they are counting on, it doesnt matter to us, we have achieved an excellent profit on the house in a few short years.
You haven't sold your property yet so how have you made an excellent profit?I am getting a little bit fed up of your induendo regarding IPG.
You seem surprisingly defensive about the company almost as though you are taking criticism of IPG personally?
According to your posts you've only known about this company for a week or so, you yourself don't know whether they are good or bad yet you are complaining about someone else being sceptical.Every generation blames the one before...

A week ago you said:we actually have never been asked for fees up front, it was allways going to be on exchange of contracts
Today you're saying:yes we were asked for the money up front, we refused, therefore a new deal was drawn up,
There seems to be a pretty major inconsistency in your story.Every generation blames the one before...

i cant believe this thread is still ongoing.
Property looks peaky, you get an offer above asking price in the most bizarre of circumstances and you think it is going to pan out?0 -
The upshot of this is that quite a few people have been approached by IPG (we all advertised on-line) for someone to come and view our properties. We were then offered a lower than market price for the properties. In our case we were asked for fees upfront, which we declined, we are now paying fees on completion as you would do with an estate agent. There is a signed document by IPG that their buyer is going to pay £xyz for the property and another signed document by ourselves and IPG that we will pay their fees on completion. There is also a 180 day time period in which completion must take place by. Now what the flipping hell is wrong with that? The abuse which has taken place on here is diabolical along with certain assumptions about posters - before you all start with me, again, I have no connections other than those outlined with IPG...No more posts will be added by myself apart from to say that I really wish people would stick to the thread and give definate info about the company wether it is positive/negative, which was asked to start with…read my posts… … induendo… … solcitiors… …definative…
As for the spelling and grammar of the web-site, I cannot find any errors.…you are actually only posting for the sake of posting.0 -
This is all going to end in tears...that of i am convinced.....if i had been hooked i would be collecting as much as a paper trail as i could because you are going to need it....i would also be contacting one of the regulating bodies to sound them out...OH DEAR......It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
- no one has actually lost any money, as far as I can ascertain - we certainly have not
Depends on your definition of losing money. At least two posters on this forum (and my neighbours) have handed over £1200 each, but no doubt they will all be reassured by your confidence that their money is not lost.0 -
Well guess what no refund forthcoming today, nor any acknowledgement to our letters (either in writing or any other means) requesting said refund. Not letting this one go that is for sure. Wheels are well in motion. So please tell, how many people have forked out their £1200 to this lot or are still waiting for their "re-written contracts" to come good? Any news or further sightings of Mr Brown?0
