Glad the weekend has given you some perspective.
Yes,i agree it's family and friends that are important...no doubt about that.
Well done on the race.0 -
hello.
have just had a catch up on your new diary - i can really see you're having a hard time of it at the moment.
I know we all do things differently, but the story about the waxing made me think. Having never waxed, i'm a razor girl, how long does it last? is shaving such a poor relative? how much does the waxing cost normally? also, what about local colleges?
also, with the new diary have you thought about putting up your soa?
re. the £30 a month for the work-related mobile. i round all potential savings, so if you could save that £360 a year, that is over 1k every 3 years.
if you can make these savings every so often, then you can keep mentally adding things up so that, although you can't see the effect immediately, you know it will make a difference in the long-run.
take care x0 -
Hello firesidemaid - I just hate shaving and prefer waxing as it lasts longer, no real other reason. I run a lot so have my legs on show a lot and hate that stubbly feeling, have had them waxed for about 10 years and do them once a month. Also, my DD is a little too hairy for her liking and I do hers as well in the hope that they will stop growing back at one point. Now I have my own equipment I am saving £30 a month plus whatever I save when I get my new phone.
Go over my SOA on a monthly basis and there really is nothing that can go. We have personal spends just to keep some sanity and agreed we would only let these go if things became so bad we couldn't pay bills.
Have been good today and brought in my lunch, no cards or money in my purse so not much I can do spendwise

Hi IMD, been having a read through.
Good investment with the home waxing kit, especially if DD will get use out of it also.
May I ask where you got it from, I have been looking at the kits in Sallys and debating about getting one.
I hate shaving, I get 5 o' clock shadow by lunchtime and Immac just doesn't work.
Well done on the race & hope the phone arrives soon.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

Lovely day outside, been very productive today and just got lots of bits done, like buy bulk pet food, book car into garage, get a roof quote - all the things I've been putting off. How I will pay for the latter depends on the quote but at least I've actually done it
Just ordered DS's present as well from good old Mr T! Should have been £135, but present was half price and used vouchers and so only paid £35 :j:j:j and that really is him done. Being very strict this year, no need for us to buy him anything else at all and so we are sorted. Just got to sort DD out now and she is just a nightmare to buy for!
Not much to report on money front. No surprises in or out of the bank account, hopefully get paid next week and until then just coasting along. MUST get ebay stuff on but I get distracted!
Will go and feed children now, that is something quite good of me I suppose1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

Am impressed with the present buying.
Even more impressed that you are actually feeding your kids :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
