Triumphing over the Evil Pigeon

Morning all,
By the end of this month we'll be down to 3 debts outstanding as well as the mortgage and all efforts are now being made to reduce expenditure and to increase income to get rid of these as soon as possible.
We can pay everything each month but for peace of mind need to clear our feet and start paying down the mortgage.
We've had a rough few years & I'm still off work at the moment (but hope to go back in the next week or so) but ClootiesDad & I will come out the other end stronger, closer & with a different view of life (& death).
Incidentally, the Evil Pigeon is a creature that sits and s***s on us from on high (it works for us).
So what have I done today to start on this:-
1/ Washing is on with soap nuts & soda crystals
2/Washing is being air dried
but not much else as I am getting a home visit from work tomorrow  & must go & tidy & clean.
Later in the month I'll make up one of Memory Girl's trees (if that's OK) to have a visual reminder of what we're up to. But that's for later -
Anyway - must go and tidy - speak to y'all later

Well, 2 rooms done & another 10 minutes break then off to do another 2 rooms - and that's all for tonight. Today's cleaning is for rooms that they really shouldn't need to see but who knows.......
Tomorrow will be an early start for living room/kitchen & so on but I'll tidy up tonight so tomorrow is easy.
But my problem is that they're coming between 11.30 & 2 tomorrow - WHAT CAN I PREPARE FOR LUNCH?
It's got to be easy, pre-prepareable & preferably not sandwiches. Salad would be nice but it's raining & will probably continue to do so tomorrow.
So folks - any suggestions?
Thanks

Today's going to be a NSD as I have to stay in for work visit. Nervous would be an understatement but I know it has to be done and it's better at home as I might not be fit to drive afterwards.
But on a good note, one of our bills came in yesterday & due to plan with ClotiesDad I just went online & paid it off in full - what a great feeling that was. It was one of the ones we knew we could clear so we still have the same 3 & mortgage as long term goals but nevertheless it felt GOOD.
Anyway, must go and find the Stepford wife in me to hoover & dust

Well, home visit went fine yesterday and I've to report in once I've been to docs next week. And as they didn't want luch we had quiche for tea - thanks ladies.
DH is off today and as yet there are no plans - except for the fact that on recommendations of others I've downloaded the book "The Secret" so once my reader charges up I'll get started on that - can't wait.
Oh - and another of the bills that were to get repaid in full came in yesterday & this has also now been paid off. Yeehah
And as it's another bit of stress gone I feel better....
Must go now & see what clothes are dry on the horse & then put more on - I can see ironing calling tomorrow
Take care folksDebts 07/12/2021

Thanks Beanielou,
No bills in today to clear off - I can't actually believe I'm waiting for a bill from the postie.
And storecupboard tea tonight - macaroni & cheese
And hopefully if the weather picks up then I'll get a few days in the garden....
Off to read The Secret - I may be gone for a while:DDebts 07/12/2021

Well, had great pland fpor a productive NSD but Clootie has to go to the vet and as he doesn't work I need to pay for it.
But apart from that I intend spending NO MONEY.
I have been clearing out the files for the past few days & am having a massive shredding of bills day (the blue bin is in the living room, it's so big a task).
I need to go and pick up some logs from the people who installed the wood burning stove - we're getting 20 bags as an exchange for withdrawn planning permission so I need to collect this before we all forget about it.
And a couple of other wee things that'll mean that if we have good weather for the next couple of days I can potter in the garden with no feelings of guilt.
So see y'll soon folks - off to shred again

I now have loads & loads of logs - for free
We're finding the woodburning stove a MSE dream - the other week I used chopped up rotton bits of wood to heat the rooms at night so no runs to the coup for disposal. I'm now eyeing up the neighbpur's fence.......
And at the vets they have a cheap microchipping offer on this month so Clootie is now chipped (one of the many things on the to do list) and Diego will be taken next week while the offer is still on.
Still shredding - it was a real major clearout but I'm being practical and it costs nothing....Debts 07/12/2021
