    Hi Beanielou

I'll be fine - my work have already said that if I'm struggling to let them know - & I would.

I'm not customer facing & can pace my own workload & build in wee breaks so I'm hoping to manage with all this built in & I intend leaving my desk for about 30 mins at lunchtime to get some fresh air.

The commute is 35ish minutes BUT I enjoy driving & it's half motorway then half rural roads so it's not too bad - it lets me chill before I get home. Sounds daft, but it works for me.

Thanks for your concern - & I'm sure I'll be on here next week at 7.30 each night (just before bedtime :p) to update y'all.

    Thanks again

    CM

Well, it's a beautiful day here today

Bedding is finishing in washing machine & will be hung out shortly & then I have to go to the shops to get lunches for the week but don't intend to spend much.

I also have to return the family pictures to my aunt (I ended up scanning in about 100 ) & I never want to see another picture as long as I live. At least if the pictures are on disc & laptop then I can work on them over the long winter months & not be bothering people. But - I told my Mum's sister what I was doing & she said she had some pictures of Mum & Dad's wedding so she's going to look them out so I'll have even more to scan in - but striking while the iron is hot is the way to go. AND IT'S FREE :j:j

And after that I'll get to wash smelly doggies - if I do it in the nice weather then they also air dry outside:D Then it's gardening time again - My tomatoes are starting to turn red so I'll have home made tomatoes for lunch this week...

    Have a good day folks

Thanks Saorsie - all positive thoughts gratefully received.

Still gorgeous weather here & I'm now about to douse the dogs in the shower - then I've not yet decided if they get to run about the garden to dry or should I peg them to the whirly by their ears??:p:p

LOL definitely the latter :D and err pictures please!

I went back to work 4 months after my husband died unexpectedly and I so wish I'd done a phased return - it's the most sensible way even if you think you're ready to launch yourself straight back in - I still remember how tough it was even though everybody was really kind and supportive (think that made it worse really - niceness is always guaranteed to reduce me to blubbering if I'm out of sorts :o) It sounds like you are being very sensible and have done the forward planning.

Now go and wash those dogs - I can smell them from here (or perhaps that's one of mine ! :p

Well, first full day at work over :T

Not too knackered but it still is only 5pm.

And the dogs needed extra cuddles tonight as the guys came to start doing the drive today & there have lots of men & machines outside - the dogs were shut away so they couldn't see them and so bark but they're a bit distressed because of the noises. Just as well they're not real guard dogs :D

But work was good - a NSD as I even took in lunch & breakfast. Tomorrow I'll take in coffee too as I did kind of need a cup this afternoon.

But what to do now? Bit of ironing or relaxing. DH is off tomorrow & to help him have a NSD I could leave the ironing for him - but what are the chances?????

OK - I'll iron for a wee bit & then make the tea for DH coming in & then relax.

Abd the diet started today - I have 3 stone to lose by the 24th Oct to meet my 100 day target - it's a lot but as I have a lot to lose it should be possible.

Off to update siggy & then do the ironing muttering "If I look after my clothes I don't need to spend money buying any more".

Oooohhhh I do like the thought of this
*visions of 7 of 9 dance in front of my eyes (Star Trek for the uninitiated)*

Well - off to work again just now - flask in hand & bananas for breakfast/energy & a wee sarnie for lunch. Flask is required as they charge 20p for boiling water  - OK you can get free hot water from the machines but it's not hot enough - so flask it is.

With emergency supplies in hand today should be a NSD :j:j

Speak to y'all later folks - and have a good day
