Not only have friends supplied us with TV but they also had single quilt covers & pillow cases for us :j

And when we're at the caravan this weekend we've been told there's a nearby car boot so we'll mooch along there to acquire anything else we think we might need.

    Thanks Buffy

I know I ramble on a bit but this kind of keeps me focused.

Part of my 100 day challenge was to put stuff in place for going abroad (which won't happen for a while yet) but the caravan is a big step towards it.

Great stuff ClootiesMum, is the van far from you?

But, if your plan is to move abroad then by having the van, you can start to decide what you want to need/want to keep at home and make the move easier.

Hope you have lots of fun there.

Thank whatatwit - the van is about an 90 minute drive so it's not too far but it's far enough away.

We won't use it a great deal for the first couple of years - just the odd weekend & our weeks of holiday but then this means that we can rent it out with a vengeance to have the costs covered.

And we can take the doggy boys and it's near the sea so lots of walking will be on the cards - and I'll take down my metal detector & hopefully come up with a fortune :p

Well folks - back from the week in the caravan & we both feel so relaxed.

We had our doubts for the first day but then we had to admit we both felt at home so it was perfect. We didn't take the boys with us on this occasion as we were aware that there might be small snagging problems (which there were) and anyone popping into the caravan when we were out may have had their ankles licked & snuggled to death by the 2 boys - they're not perverted, it's just they can only reach that high :p

So, today is a 15 minute blitz, tidy day before lunch with an aunt & picking up a lawnmower as I'm back to work on Monday & want all the piddly wee house jobs sorted before then.

    But coffee is needed first

I've only just caught up with you again :o but well done on the caravan and to your DH for winning the competition!
We had some great holidays in my in-laws' static caravan. I think they're fab, and as you say it will generate some funds and be a step towards your dream. :) Here's to many more relaxing weekends for you both (and the dogs).
