just ordered it now, inc £25 to install the phone (instead of £120+ thru BT!) cant wait! thanks everyone! :j
  • If anyone can tell me what best to do here please I would be most grateful!
I live outside Glasgow, moving to a new build in a week
Have always been a sky customer so like the idea of staying with sky!
    Need to know the following:

Best Sky deal ( sounds like the best buy one but dont know how to get this if i live in Scotland?)
Cheapest connection to a phone line as BT are quoting £127 to connect me as its a new build, however all the phone lines / sockets are already in the house so its a case of just getting connected to a phone line?
    Broadband deals too,

Any help would be most appreciated, and would love to take up this best buy deal if possible sounds too good to be true!!
  • Sorry to be a pest but if anyone can help please let me know im new to this site!

I have just been to the Best Buy site and it says that this offer is in store only and I live just outside of Newcastle.

Anybody know if this offer is still working by calling the number??

Got a code, I called sky on behalf of my wife to cancel the subscription in her name so I can take up the offer in my name as a new customer.

I was told that new customers are dependant on there address and need to be away from sky for 1 year before taking an offer. So based on this I'm not entitled to the best buy offer. I checked the T&C's for the offer and it doesn't mention this at all. Are they right?

Others have said you need to be away for 30 days. But you can try ordering online rather than calling them. Use http://www.sky.com/bestbuyoffer or click the offer code link on the right hand side of the normal sky page when you are selecting channels.

Sky's usual price to connect phoneline seems to be £39 but is currently £25 online. If you call them up they may do it cheaper. I was told its £39 when calling but he could do it for half price, I've read on MSE others have been connected for free.

Is the phone line connection just for new lines, or to change phone supplier too?

Currently with the Post Office Home Phone, £12/month for E&W calls. Still got 7 months on my o2 broadband so won't switch that. I'm assuming the half price offer doesn't apply to phone, so no point switching to Sky talk?
