Wow fay, that total's gone down/up twice in the space of a day! :T Thanks for the healing car vibes! Got to ring garage to rebook MOT tomorrow... :o

Cherisong, what a cheery quote :T

What I'm actually reading is Julia Welstead's 'Fine That' (I'm trying to google it but the link won't work, will add one when I can find it!) - just a collection of short articles published in The Scotsman by a woman who moved up to an Orkney island with her 3 boys. Her cheery can-do attitude and love of beaches reminds me of our own lovely Fay! :j I've read it over and over again (as I often do with books I love)

Bath was lovely, but stayed in it a little bit long and got a bit chilly :o Nice hot chocolate now to warm me up though :j

Supervisor emailed earlier asking if we could meet sooner rather than later. I'd originally replied and said I'd pop in at 2, to give me a chance to do some work first, but have emailed again and said I'd go at 9.30, no point spending the morning agonising over something that might well become irrelevant in the afternoon! :o So I'll still be up and working at 7, but I'll be concentrating on reading what I've already handed in, and compiling a list of questions about the next chapter I'm working on.

Best finish this hot choc and go to bed, the sooner today is over with the better I reckon! :o

LOL Jules and I use to share a childminder (in real life)- we're very old pals from another island and ended up next door to each other in Ed - (planned, she helped me find a house next to her) we helped each other out with kids when I was down there studying.

We moved quite by co-incidence here the same time - her to one island - me another - the moving up to Orkney story with the big van and cars needing shifted (if tis in the book, is actually mine!)

Her boys are lovely - the book is nice - not sure where she is now - she went off a few years ago.......................................

Lol small world (v sorry if a bit random, not showing off honest!)

Oh how lovely that you know her Fay! :rotfl: Yes the shifting car out of the way for the removal van is in there, didn't realise it was yours! :rotfl: Very sneaky! I believe she went off to Australia? Wrote a blog for a while, but nothing since 2007 I don't think... How very cheery! I shall read it with even more cheeriness now! :D

Well, I'm up, dressed, breakfasted, and ready to start at the planned 7am :j Oops, it's 7.02, best get going! :rotfl: Helped that Mr Daffs got up too, but he's now fallen asleep on the sofa :rotfl: tea I think... Good luck today, I am going to have a positive and cheery day today and get lots of work done :j (are you listening universe???) :rotfl:

Right, off to meet supervisor - bleurgh!

No - that's not very positive is it?? :rotfl: I will have a lively and intellectual chat with my supervisor, which will show me exactly the way forward I need to go, then I will go and sit in the museum coffee shop for an hour (drinks £1 before 11) and plan the rest of the day, and make some significant progress :T

Yes they did indeed, thank you very much, you lot are great! :j :j :D

Had a lovely chat with supervisor, really clarified some things, he was really helpful, and I didn't feel at all like the completely incompetent fool I usually do :o Celebrated by popping to the museum cafe for a cuppa (£1 before 11am!) and walking home through the park, chatting to a friend on the phone :T

Might get my act together and go for a run this afternoon :j Need to fill in an application form for a course too. Oh, and ring the garage to rebook the MOT :o
