Good idea Cheri! I can only use outlook in the office, sadly, and work at home 3 days a week, so that wouldn't work for me! However, I'm usually pretty good at opening things and putting them straight in my to do book (yep, I have a book, but that's because I have a separate list for each project and I like to have them all together!). But recently I've been doing lots of travelling, and opening emails to check directions etc, seeing something else interesting, not doing anything about it... I'm thinking the 'mark as unread' function will work well enough!
Pancakes for breakfast anyone? We just didn't have anything else0 -
Ah, the old mark as unread Yep, do that one too. Can you not link to the server via citrix for your work at home? That allows access to your outlook etc. I have a little fob too that has a security code for me to access the server known as gateway. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Yum pancakes! Isn't it lovely when you have a day at work where you feel like you've achieved something?
Re emails - 'mark as unread' is a good idea (I use Mozilla Thunderbird which lets you put different coloured tags on things which looks nice.. I have a scary amount of blue 'to do' ones at the moment though.. eek).

Yes, mark as unread is one of my staples too - really does help avoid missing stuff, doesn't it!
I'm feeling distinctly cheery today as in between dotting about on here and working through a sizeable to do list, I'm packing bits into the car boot ready for heading off on holibobs tonight!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

How exciting EH! :j :j I'm most jealous
Mind you, we were working out about the bank holidays yesterday - today and tomorrow, then a 4 day week, then a 3 day week (with my birthday in the middle day - bah! Might have to take that off too), then another 4 day week - not too bad really

Thanks to all the bank holidays it's a bit like that isn't it! MrEH worked out last night that he has 18 consecutive days off work and it's only "costing" 8 days hols! LOL!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

That's brilliant EH! :rotfl: More royal weddings I say :rotfl: :rotfl:
So, I've FINALLY finished putting my part of our scary presentation together ready for Monday :j :j :j Finished it mostly before lunch, but had a couple of changes to make - it's gone off to boss and secretary person for making it all nice and colourful now
Made a scary phone call I had to make that I've been wibbling about for several weeksUnfortunately, the woman wasn't in! :rotfl: So now I've got to wait for her to ring back - which somehow isn't quite as scary, as I don't have control over it
Now I've got to write 500 words for a book chapter - I've been putting this off too, but only because I needed to make the scary phone call firstBut I need to crack on with it now, I've gathered together all the information I've got (need the phone woman for the rest!), and have an outline of what needs to go in and in what order - just need to write it!
So - I'm setting my red dotty egg timer (thanks PIppi!) for 15 minutes, getting my head down, and cracking on. Will report back

Oh dear!
Set the timer, wrote the piece :j :j Then my scary phone call was returned.
I ran what I was doing past the person who had initially told me about it (the scary phone lady), she was really excited, and said "ooh, I wish someone had asked me to do something like that, it sounds like fun!"
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I felt like it was her story to tell, not mine, and since she was so keen, I've suggested she writes it instead - which means my lovely idea is now useless, my writing was all for nothing, and I've got to think of something else to write about :rotfl: :rotfl:
Must run that one past the appropriate person BEFORE I start writing the damn thing just in case the same thing happens! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Still, it was the right thing to do, and I've made her day, so no bad thing really0 -
Oh no! Poor you Daffs - all that time wasted! Still, it sounds as though you have made someone else very happy and excited to have a project to play with, so that's a cheery outcome anyway.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Absolutely EH
And I've just cobbled together something else from someone else (who I'm pretty sure won't want to write it themselves, although you never know :rotfl:)
Best go and get my act together, this evening I'd like a run, a shower, something to eat, and then to walk into town and do some European dancing0
