    I've got a Yamaha 211 I think, bought in 1994 (I was 13/14 and working in a paper shop at the weekends, and saved up £400 to buy it myself :D) Can't remember what friend has - I think the headjoint is an Altus?? And the rest of it is something beginning with M... :rotfl: Sorry, entirely useless, I knew I wouldn't remember if I asked anyway :rotfl: :D

    Working at home today, curled up on the sofa under a blanket. Feeling a little uninspired, and rather peckish :rotfl: Might pop to the shop in a bit, feeling in need of some bread.

    We appear to have a pair of blue tits nesting in the nesting box above the front door :T :T Very exciting, good view of one landing on the edge and feeding things to the one inside :D It does keep looking rather suspiciously through the window at me though :rotfl: And it means I'm not going to be able to open my front door until the little baby ones have hatched and flown away... But still, very exciting! :j :j

    Muramatsu maybe? Or something else Japanese-sounding beginning with M that I can't remember either! Mine is made by this bloke - http://andrewoxleyflutemaker.com/ - apparently he built all the machines that he uses himself, mainly does (very lovely) headjoints but some whole flutes.

    Aww baby birds :)

    Well I was hoping to be, until I went and did music at Uni and realised I wasn't good enough and couldn't cope with the stress/ competitiveness etc. But at least I have a fairly useless qualification and a nice flute :rotfl:

    <yawn>

    long day, 5 year old's birthday party, lots of Wii dancing, star wars lego (and cake, and lots of being hit by a "light saver" :rotfl:), 4 hours of driving, an unexpected hair cut, a bit of vodka, and off out to a party in a minute :D

    (maybe I'm getting a bit old for this?)

    Nah :D

    Cheery - All I can say is RESPECT!!!

    (tho' I too am concerned about the unexpected hair-cut ... was it simply unplanned, a dare or did you fall asleep and leave a small child access to the scissors?)

    Oh dear I fear the comment "maybe I am getting too old for all of this" might be true. That or the vodka is keeping you away today :)

    What a fab day yesterday. Hoping that you are recovering nicely and not actually swinging pickaxes and breaking up rocks.

    Rest and Relaxation is what I say.

    Rest and relaxation indeed :D Sorry to incite concern :rotfl: :rotfl: Stayed in bed and finished reading my book this morning, then popped to the shops, then friend who was meant to be staying with us last night came back (went to a different party from ours - goodness knows where she ended up :rotfl:) Been sitting putting the world to rights, and Mr Daffs has just taken her for a walk up the hills. Poor lass - 25, with a 4 year old daughter, and her husband's just left her. Bit of a shock by all accounts. But she's had a nice weekend.

    So now they've gone for a walk, and I'm apparently meant to be preparing some lunch :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Unexpected hair cut fortunately wasn't young children with scissors :eek: Friend who's staying (who Mr Daffs is in a band with, but I've only met a couple of times), turns out to also be a hairdresser :D After berating both of us for cutting our hair ourselves for so long :rotfl: and after sorting out Mr Daffs' unruly mop before I got home, she waved the scissors in my direction too :D

    Having a nice day today :j :j Hope you all are too :j :j
