Not for these ones Dedicated DFW, but there's plenty out there, I'll search you out a couple of simple ones I've spotted over the weekend (or just search for arm warmer patterns). Basically, just knit a rectangle (using whatever stitches you like), then sew it up leaving space for your thumb and fingers to pop out :rotfl:
These ones were made for a disabled woman with rather interestingly shaped arms, and she didn't need fingers free, so they're literally just a big triangle of stocking stitch, with a couple of rows of rib at the end
Off to deliver them now!0 -
Yep, I love the sound of that craft evening too - how wonderful! No wonder you couldn't wait to finish the PhD ... I hope Mrs Woman is properly appreciative of what you've done for her2023: the year I get to buy a car0

The arm warmers sound great! I might actually give those a go as a progression from scarves and (very simple) hats.
Are you visiting a certain office of a certain educational institution today?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I am indeed visiting a certain office of a certain educational institution today Squizz
And I do indeed hope my visit is more pleasant than the last time I submitted - you can imagine the state I was in the first time round, and the incompetent young man behind the desk didn't even say well done or congratulations or anything, just 'you've put the wrong initials on the cover' :rotfl:
(obviously I hadn't - I KNOW my own initials, whereas he couldn't read the computer form correctly! But I was in enough of a state tht I was ready to believe him :d)
Anyway, hoping for an all round better experience today0 -
LOL! I think I have heard of the person of whom you speak, who does not work at said educational institution any more. We have a new young man behind the desk who hasn't been here long but is very pleasant so it should be a nicer experience - fingers crossed!
Hopefully say hello later thenDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Shall do
I'll be the one in yellow wellies and a red polka dot scarf with a big grin on my face

I'll be considerably less colourful than that in grey and green, and looking like someone who wants it to be the weekend!
