Phew! Whole day done, and conclusions are looking MUCH better than they were :T :T I even managed to stay pretty positive throughout the whole day :j :j :j
Really quite peckish now, and in need of standing up for a while, so going to trot off to the shop so I can have something other than pancakes for tea (not that I mind, but, you know...). I will also be getting treats
Putting conclusions aside for tomorrow now, I don't do my best work in the evenings, and these things are often better when you come back to them. So the aim for tonight is to get Chapter 4 done, plus all the other little niggly bits (or as many of them as possible at least!).
And to leave time for a nice bath later too
Thanks for all your positive encouragement today, you're all great :j :j Poor old Mr Daffs is brilliant, but I can't give him updates every five minutes (Well, I can, and sometimes do, but I think he'd rather I didn't :rotfl:). At least you lot can just see the start of a post and run away :rotfl:
Anyone up to anything more exciting than me on a Friday night??0 -
Sounding good

Sending to examiner on Sunday  Official submission date is Wednesday, might make that or might not, depends on whether the examiner suggests any changes. Fingers crossed he won't, although I'm not holding my breath!0

Well done for facing those demons Cheery. Not long left. By committing to sending on Sunday then you have been focused. You are so right about building things up in your head and making everything seem much worse than they really are.
Hope you got nice treats. I have been bad and bought a bottle of wine for myself for tonight. I dont (I hasten to add) intend drinking the full bottle. I couldn't resist and thought I deserved a treat too. So enjoy your evening and have a bit of a lie in tomorrow before starting again. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Thanks you two :T :T
My treat (and you'll laugh) was chocolate coated raisins, and some museli :rotfl: :rotfl: Proper pushing the boat out there!
Very much enjoyed them both though
Spent the last couple of hours on Chapter 4. Not finished, needless to say, but what I *have* done I'm pleased with. Blimey,it makes such a difference feeling satisfied with something I've done! :T :T
Just trying to decide what to do now. I'm worn out, eyes completely square from staring at screen since 8.30 this morning  and head starting to go all fuzzy and I'm not really concentrating properly. I won't finish Chapter 4 tonight, but I have tomorrow night too, so not too worried. However, I would like to get some more functional stuff done and out of the way. Hmm.
I might set the timer for 15 minutes and have a bit of a boogie round the kitchen while doing the washing up and making a cuppa :j :j :j If I feel more awake after that I'll crack on with the next section of chapter 4. If not, I'll put it to one side and crack on with the formatting instead.
And at 10.30 I'll stop, and if I can be bothered I'll have a bath, and if not I'll curl up with a hot chocolate and the knowledge that I have, finally, actually done a good day's work :j :j :j :j0 -
Cheery, I am behind on my homework (much less than a PhD
) which should have been done and handed in this morning. If you are around, come give me a leather injection on my thread cos I can't go to bed without getting most of it done.
Thanks, and well done on a very good day's work! :TPlease call me 'Pickle'
