I too have got a hanky pinned to my nose Pippi so you're in good company
Did consider strapping it round like a kind of horse's nosebox so I had both hands free to type, but thought that was a bit mad :rotfl:
Today not as productive as yesterday, but I did just finish off another section of the conclusions, and actually feel like I made the argument stronger, and added in a new argument, rather than just changing the words round :rotfl: So feel like I'm getting somewhere
Mr Daffs is going out in a bit, so I'm just going to pop downstairs and have some tea with him before he goes, then ensconce myself in the kitchen for the evening's writing :T Will carry on with the conclusions for another hour or two then - I was going to move on, but this is more important so needs to get out of the way first :j :j
(gosh, don't want to speak too soon, but I actually feel *in control* of this right now!)
(that might all change on the last dash tomorrow though :rotfl:)
How's yours gone Pippi?? xx0 -
Oh, and well done Pickle! :T :T I am indeed being a good girl (don't have any choice right now :rotfl:) although I did spend the whole morning at the WI

Right, Mr Daffs has gone, I've got another cuppa, and am settled in the kitchen with the laptop. I've got 4 hours until he comes back. Plan is to have got to the end of the conclusions, and to the end of Chapter 4, and my table of contents.
Ready, steady, GO! :T :T0 -
we're watching Cheery to make sure you're doing well and keeping you fed and watered so that you keep your brain energy up.0

Keep going

Aw, thanks, you lot are lovely

And thanks for keeping me fed and watered LT, feels like I've eaten nowt but pancakes and museli for days! :rotfl: :rotfl: (blatantly untrue, I had a mars bar rice crispie cake at the WI this morning
)
Things are moving along nicely :j :j Just stopped to put the kettle on again
(I'm working in the kitchen now, so not too far to go thankfully!). Trying to rewrite policy implications of my research - apparently the last ones didn't really relate to my actual findings - anyone would think I'd just made them up off the top of my head in the last half hour before I printed it off
:rotfl: :rotfl:
Best crack on

So pleased for you Cheery! Just do it - finish the thing off and you will feel this substantial weight lifting off you. One good thing about finishing one's PhD is that nothing seems scary after that.

Thanks Guys :T :T
FW, I've been thinking exactly the same thing :rotfl: Nothing at work at all seems as scary as this, I always feel like I can work through whatever comes up, which is a great feeling (shame I've never felt like that about the phd!).
In some ways I'm also quite glad I've had these few weeks of finishing off PhD AND working full time - once this is done, working full time on its own will seem like an absolute breeze! :rotfl:
Oops, am I still here?! How did that happen?! :rotfl:0 -
Keep plodding

This time next week it will all be over
