Day going fine thanks :D about 4 hours left in work, then off to the daft venue for drinking and party games :j :j :j :D
  • Phew - for a car repair that's not too bad at all is it - glad it's all working and sorted anyway!

As for your £4.17 splurge - well you can feel a truly virtuous and good Daffs as tomorrow morning I intend to splurge £25 on the Soap & Glory "better than half price" offer in Boots! :rotfl: Admittedly, it is on the basis that I reckon I can eBay the stuff from it that I wouldn't normally use for the same amount as I will pay for the set, meaning that I get free products, but still! :D

    Enjoy your festivities! :j

Good price for the car, less than you expected. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for both of our travel plans at the weekend. This IS the year we will both get our much deserved holidays Cheery. I am sure of it. If things dont happen it wont be for lack of us both planning will it.

I agree about the splurge. Given my splurging this week I am mighty impressed. Hope you are all set for your festivities and all your glamour gear is with you :)

Ooh, your splurges were far more impressive than mine! :rotfl: well done :D

No cheri, it won't be for lack of planning :T We have both planned Extremely Well Indeed :D

Just having minor panic about lots of things to do at work, but taking deep breath, will go for a short work (inside, it's freezing outside!) and then will sit down to do ONE THING AT A TIME :D
  • Hope you OK cheery

Was rather pleased when I got home and emptied my bags, only to find that my 'lots of treats' comprised:

    * a copy of A Sand County Almanac (£1.99 from Oxfam bookshop)
    * a packet of multi coloured pens from Poundland (£1, obviously)
    * two face flannels (59p each)

Grand total of £4.17, and I feel like I've been extravagant! :rotfl: (also feel like I should have saved it to go towards the car )

I'm jealous of Cheery again:o Please teach me how to stop being so materialistic.

EH got there before me but this is what I thought of when I read that post and I've bought 2 of the M+S £10 cardigans already today:o

Hope the walk helped. One thing at a time is a good idea. Need to follow your lead. My house is currently in a flurry of last minute packing. I just realised that I am leaving in the morning, so why am I sitting here on the computer with tons to do? Right - off to put the ironing board away.

Hi Cheery. Hope all is going well with you. Keep thinking about you and really hope that you make it to Orkney. If not hope that you enjoy your Christmas, wherever you end up. X

Gosh cherisong, have you already gone?? Bye! Hope you have a gorgeous time! :j :j

Back from all the mad running about of the past few days! Will tell you all about it in a bit, just putting the kettle on and pootling round the diaries (in a whizzy type fashion :rotfl:) then will have to write a giant to do list for the day :j :j

    But we're going on HOLIDAY soon! :j :j :j

    (I'm a bit excited :D )
