our second dog loved tea, hot chocolate and the brandy sauce that my grandad used to make for the christmas pud.0

Goodness LT, what a naughty dog :rotfl: :rotfl:

Resisting the leftovers because I've already eaten about 8 biscuits, most of the chocolate orange, and about 4 pieces of cake
That's why
(and it really was a rather small shock, don't get the impression that I bounced off the ceiling or anything, just made me go  for a minute

My (well, my Mum's) dog loves his cup of tea! Made quite milky so he doesn't burn his tongue, bless him... Not sure how he'd take to blackberry brandy though.
I'm not allergic, but my loving Ma likes to tell the story of when I was about 1 1/2 and got hold of the brandy butter at Christmas lunch... all the grown ups were too pickled (or should I say absorbed in scintillating conversation) to notice me demolish the whole bowl... Apparently I was a very happy little drunk! (Still like brandy butter too :rotfl:)
Just been out for supper with Mr Lotti, not very MSE but we were planning to go for a cheap curry (4.90 for the whole sheboodle before 7pm) but it was shut! So we went to our fave italian instead, not pricey but got a bottle of wine too... so not very MSE at all. See why I get overdrawn? Humph. More work time now.

Pah Lotti! Hope you've stopped working now!
I've finished watching Dirty Dancing, and nearly finished the curtain linings
Busy day tomorrow - thought I'd do a bit of advance planning by writing my list on here - although I suspect it'll just scare me - let's see shall we?! So, in no particular order...
PHD
* finish and send draft outline of chapters 9 and 10 to supervisors
* go through existing draft of chapter 4 and mind map changes needed
* mind map new chapter 1
* put everything in one document
WORK (I'm NOT working tomorrow, but couple of tiny things need doing!)
* reply to Christmas party email
* sort Christmas party anagrams :rotfl:
* wrap pass the parcel prize :rotfl: (all glamour in my job I tell you!) :rotfl:
* check what to do about room booking
OTHER
* town for last of Mr Daffs' presents AND STAMPS (and fairy lights!)
* pick car up from garage (Mr Daffs will take it)
* tidy up after today's festivities :rotfl:
* write Christmas cards ready to post
* wrap presents that need posting
* sew lining into curtains
Er, think that's it! Gosh, not sure that made me feel much better! :rotfl: Couple of things *could* wait til Tuesday, but Tuesday's busy enough and after that I kind of run out of days to shift things into... (London on Wednesday, not back til 9pm, work on Thursday, Christmas do, then staying over, working on Friday, going straight to another Christmas do, then party Saturday afternoon/evening, then I'd best pack cos we're going on holiday on Monday)
Best go to bed and get some kip then :rotfl:0 -
Gosh you are going to be one busy bee tomorrow! :A
I have finished for now, still worried about it all but I'll only write rubbish at this time of night! Ho hum.
Off to do the new week's iGoogle "to-do list" and then bed... Zzzz
But woop woop to holidays on Monday! :santa2:“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Wow, thats some list for one day - good idea to get it done now, at least you can whoosh into things
which I'm not doing right now
but had better start. How many Christmas cards do you send? 2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I think there's, er, 17 on the Christmas card list KC :rotfl: :rotfl: Bare minimum usually
Just family (cos I won't see them til after Christmas), and a few people in different cities. I don't generally do cards to local friends. So no excuse really! :rotfl:
(I'm not wooshing either :rotfl: just having a cuppa
) 0 -
Good luck on that list Cheery. I am working my way through a very long list of things to do.
I had a cocker spaniel who used to steal my red wine when I wasnt looking! One time he drank a whole glass by tipping it over and then licking it all up from the floor and then spent the whole night wobbling around the caravan. Now then, a few niggly things out of the way :T

Actually, that's not *that* many things :rotfl: but a couple took longer to sort out than I thought :rotfl:
Still - in the attic now ready to start on the pesky PhD :T Back in a bit...0 -
Niggly things always take longer than you think they should I find!
Good luck with the PhD today
Just screwed my courage up to email someone about completely changing my dissertation topic and asking them to supervise... I wish he'd email back, I'm really nervous oddly!
And Cherisong - I think Mr Lotti thinks I've gone a bit mad, the image of a drunk cocker spaniel was making me chuckle so much as he walked through the door! :rotfl:“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”
