Gosh what a lot of environmentally-motivated people about!

MatyMoo - Definitely don't feel dumb, as Cheery said there is probably a huge list of things you know that I for one wouldn't have a clue about (like getting a proper job for example... my little sis LOVES to remind me as she didn't go to uni she has no debt, and has an actual salary, and can make me go to all the expensive shops when she comes to visit and all I can do is be "advice-giver" or possibly "head window-shopper and dreamer" :()

vl - I did Engineering for my bachelors, and hated it, hence the switch! Who are you working for?

Back to the assignment now. Realised how much I actually need to get done this week....:eek::eek::eek:

    Charming...

And next she'll be wanting a good slap, rather than one from Poundland...

    :rotfl: :rotfl:

Party less of a 'party' and more of 'two folk round for a cuppa and help put the decorations up', then 'someone else round for a cuppa with a dog' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Tree's up, but the !!!!in fairy lights don't work  (and I managed to electrocute myself finding out!), so not looking very exciting :rotfl:

Just 3 of us (and dog) drinking tea and blackberry brandy in front of a 'fire' DVD (making the tv look like a log fire, very MSE :rotfl:), listening to Christmassy music, demolishing a lovely cake :D

Looks like we're in for a quiet evening :rotfl:

What? The dog had a cuppa as well?

It is possible to find out if the electrickery is in there without going all touchy feely on it. It was probably exciting for a brief moment until the circuit breaker went...

The dog is on the brandy now?

You treat the pets well. And the dog too. :T

I wasn't *trying* to electrocute myself, honest! :rotfl: Was just not paying attention :rotfl: Plugged it in, it didn't work, so was busy talking away, drinking my tea, and trying to push the bulbs in a bit further just in case... :D

Dog didn't get anything at all, for the record :D

Everyone's gone now, Mr Daffs has gone for a nap, and I'm taking advantage of the unexpected time to do a bit of curtain-lining-sewing, and trying desperately not to eat ALL of the leftover biscuits, chocolate orange and cake :D

why are you resisting the leftovers? you've had a shock (literally you silly thing) and need something to settle yourself with.

I'm sure the dog would have enjoyed a cuppa if offered, probably the brandy as well. That's how they found out i was allergik to alcofrol, the dog and i went round draining brandy & babycham glasses at a party when i was two! It was his idea honestly! I've not touched the stuff since.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Hehe that's an awesome story!! He led you astray! My aunt's dog used to love tea, had to be careful with him around or he'd swipe it!
