  • I'll be fine KC :T It's just that I'm so darn reasonable the whole time, I'd never dream of being someone who said 'no, get yourself back here right now it's not fair!' but sometimes I just want to say 'bah, I want you to come home!' :o :rotfl:

However, I won't be doing anything of the sort, of course, and if I *am* here on my own, I might use it as an excuse to wear fluffy pajamas and bed socks and drink lots of hot chocolate and watch several Harry Potter films in a row :rotfl: :D

And thanks for the offer of your microwave! :j :j I'd love to have it - but I'd say it's rather unlikely that I'll make it down there! I am coming to London on 15th December, but don't have much time either side of meeting to be galivanting around the countryside after microwaves sadly :rotfl: Thanks though :D

Right, onwards and upwards - PhD chapter 8 beckons.... :p

Goodluck with it all - :)

And its ok to want to be around the person you're with you know.

If OH and I have a row its mostly about how little time we spend together - to which my stack response is generally

I'm not going to apologise for wanting to be around you, being in someones life is a privilege!!!

(and that goes for you lot too - :) thank you for sharing a bit of your life with me :))

Now then LT - what's this cake fest, and can we participate??! :D Could do with some cake right now :D In fact, I'm probably equipped with enough ingredients to *make* cake now... Hmm....

i've got to bake enough cakes to fill a table at OH's works fund raiser. My sis was going to help but i'm not sure i can get over to hers tomorrow because of the roads. Instead i'm making victoria sandwiches of various flavours and sizes (been practicing making them with individual tins), some banana loaves and lemon drizzle cakes (again i've got lots of diff size tins) and 46 muffins/cupcakes, Need at least that many to fill the cupcake stands we got on saturday.
Yesterday the ones i made in little 4in tins looked like boobies, well that's what OH thinks so i think i put in too much mixture and didn't put a dip in the middle, at least they're tasty and i'm ready for tomorrow.

Keep meaning to say hello - I'm dashing about between the fences so much they've all joined up like a little commune :)

Wow, sounds great LT! I love cake :D Don't envy you having to make all those though, you must be so organised! And have so much willpower - I'd never be able to get them there without sneakily eating half of them :rotfl: And :rotfl: to them looking like boobies :rotfl: I reckon you could charge extra for that :rotfl:

No sign of Mr Daffs, and I've tried ringing and his phone's turned off. Not normally this much of a fusspot! :o It'd just be nice to know if he was actually going to come back or not... He's probably not bothered to ring because I'm not normally such a fusspot! :D Serves me right really :D

Working til 9pm - but bored of it already. Going to concentrate though, and then I can stop in good conscience... Then I've got to sort out mother's birthday present, and if Mr Daffs isn't back I might bake a sneaky cake :D

Pippi, I love that not apologising. Me and OH only seem to fall out about how little time we get together (usually its me doing the moaning). Cheery I am always so practical and reasonable but for some reason when it comes to OH being away I lose the plot! I think Pippi is right I shouldnt apologise for wanting to be with him. Next time we argue and he tries the old Oh woe is me having to live away trick I might take the wind out of his sails with that (is that evil?)

LT - how on earth do you manage to make all those cakes without licking all the bowls? I used to love being in the kitchen with my Mum on a Sunday and I would help bake cakes, well I actually helped by cleaning the bowls. I have recently started to bake myself OH doesnt like cakes - he does like scones though.

Pass the hot chocolate this way please.

Yes we eat eggs :D especially when they're in cakes and pancakes :D But also on their own too :D

Just had text from Mr Daffs - he's on the train, but it's too hot, he's eaten nothing but rubbish for 2 days, and he's dropped his MP3 player while running to catch the train - so altogether not in a good mood... Hopefully he'll feel a bit calmer by the time he's walked up the hill from the station in the snow for an hour (!)

Best put the kettle on then, poor lad!
