Evening all! I'm home and curled up on sofa with a hot water bottle and hot chocolate, pootling round the forums for a catch up
I'm exhausted! Left house at 6.45, walked to station, worked all the way to London, had very interesting meeting in fabulous place (lighthouses!! :j :j), walked an hour back to the station, worked on the train home (until I just HAD to go to sleep for the last hour).
<YAWN>
Anyway, a day 2 update, not sure it's much different to the day 1 update
DAY 2 UPDATE :j

HEALTH
* 5x 30 mins exercise - Shred day 27 yesterday, walked for 2 hours today :j :j :j
* no buying cake/chocolate/biscuits - didn't buy any :j (did eat some though :rotfl: - er ate 6 biscuits, a slice of lemon cheesecake, and some evil woman gave me a free galaxy ripple at the station at 7.30 this morning :eek:)
So, we're getting there :rotfl:0 -
Gosh, my colours have gone all out of line, will have to find a better way of updating!
:rotfl:
Forgot to tell you about the Lighthouse place todayGoodness me, it was exciting
I was like a kid in a sweetshop :rotfl: Tried *soooooo* hard (and succeeded!) in not banging the gong in the corridor or clanging the huge ship's bell
:rotfl: Most ENORMOUS chandeliers I've ever seen
And THE most gorgeous toilets!!
Mind you - dinner was interesting. Pretty ordinary sandwiches, chicken wrapped in bacon, mini fish pies (of course), and the vegetarian option???
Deep fried pumpkin risotto.
Yep - you read that right - deep fried risotto :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Erm deep fried risotto? Sounds more like somthing went wrong there!
Siunds like a loooooong day.Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
deep fried risotto.....sounds like something I could adapt for my tin of brussel sprouts :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Lighthouse place sounds amazing! Glad to hear you had a lovely weekend too.
I've heard of deep fried risotto balls.. but not a whole risotto, that would be .. interesting!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
It sounds wonderful! And as for deep fried risotto, you know what they say about eating out - the most worthwhile options are things you'd never cook at home :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hope you've caught up on some sleep.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Actually, it was risotto balls - but :eek: at the thought of deep frying a whole risotto! :eek: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Taking a bit of a long time to get going today...Was hoping for an early night, but then pottered about, watched lots of rubbish on the tv, then Mr daffs came home unexpectedly at 1.30 :eek: So not much done so far today!
But still, that's all going to change...
50 day challenge goals for today:
* people into framework - nine, ten, eleven, twelve
* mind map planning for whole 50 days, and for week
* contact pippi and decide dates of holiday!
* find notebook to use as Christmas planning journal
* Shred day 28!
Manageable, I think! :T :T
Other things for today...
* post amazon parcel (already packed and waiting)
* washing
* unpack bag from weekend away
* sort clothes/lunch for work tomorrow
* collect plants from friend's house
A nice pottering day I think! :j :j0 -
"Risotto balls" sounds like an insult *sniggers*

Deep fried sprouts sounds suitably and impressively vile!
Just had ludicrous 'comedy' moment - dropped full sugar bowl INTO large bowl of yogurt, upending both, all over furniture (working top, cupboard doors, INSIDE cupboard etc), appliances (kettle, toaster), kitchen in general (walls, tiles, carpet), and myself (boots, tights, skirt, jumper, top *under* jumper, scarf, hair).
One giant yogurty, sugary, sticky, horrid mess
Of course, like any good MSE-er I managed to rescue a good deal of the yogurt from the (relatively clean for once) work surface, and have just eaten it:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
