Enjoy yourself Cheery and can we have pics and posts on your little home away from home? Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

You could if I actually managed to take some pictures! But haven't so far
Today's been busy though - trip to see friends with new bably (very cute), then to the Barbican centre with another friend, then met honeybear for tea :j :j :j
The official version of our evening goes like this:
'We went to a thai restaurant, bought some shampoo, then had a pizza':rotfl:
VERY cheery to meet her though, realised this afternoon I knew NOTHING about her at allso it was a lovely cheery experience! <waves to honeybear> And a very nice pizza too
And I've still got 14 minutes of internet time left! What a luxury! :rotfl:0 -

Isn't that weird? And true of all of us :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl:I hope you enjoy that luxurious hotel!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well, 'luxurious' hotel is not very impressive now we come to speak of it! :rotfl: Had to do an automatic check in thing (even after queuing uop), NO SHAMPOO OR FREE TOILETRIES   No hot chocolate (at least there's tea though - phew!), and only two pillows and a very thin duvet! And I'm having to PAY £1 for 20 mins of internet! (which is nearly up - best dash off!)
Ah well, at least there's a bath (not that there's any bubble bath for it!) - was all over optimistic and didn't even bring any shampoo! :rotfl:
Right, it's shouting at me, see you tomorrow! xx0 -
Sounds like a rubbish hotel, I would complain to the booking company. No Hot Chocolate, whats that all about. I love my hot chocolate when in hotels. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Fortunately managed to swipe a sachet of hot chocolate from the training venue so I'm all set for tonight :rotfl:
Training venue more than made up for hotel - FAB food, proper past salad (or seabass!), loads of different salads, chocolate pudding, plenty of NICE tea, biscuits, pastries on arrival
Very interesting day, but after last night too I'm all sociabled out! :rotfl: So been for a wander as the sunset along a conveniently located canal(I do try to find one wherever I go!), very nuice indeed
Back at hotel now, contemplating food (will stop in hotel tonight - butternut squash stew anyone?), then a bit of work (colourcoding today's training session mind maps
), then will set the timer and do some PhD editing, then a nice bath, then will sit in bed and set to with some of MG's challenges! :j All very jolly.
Looking forward to training tomorrow (and lunch), but also very much looking forward to going home, am worn out!
(Mr Daffs told me he'd asked Mate to stop smoking in the house last nightSo hopefully that'll make it a bit less appealing if nowt else! :j)
Hope all's well round here, 14 mins left, so off for a bit of a catch up! :j

Sounds like you're having a great time in London. I love the food on training courses, I feel really cheated if the lunch / biscuits / snacks aren't up to par!!
I am now the proud owner of a new sewing machine (well, new to me!!!) as I finally won an ebay auction and got it for the bargainous price of £13.50......
It took 2.5 hours to get there and back but it was definitely worth it. The ebayer was lovely and she did me all these diagrams of how it works as she couldn't find the intstruction manual! :j
I've got a busy weekend though, off to a wedding on Friday and then meeting friends on Sunday....I've a friend who works for an art gallery so we're going to the swanky private view on Sunday evening!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
