I don't know if you've heard of this but I was recommended to raspberry leaf capsules. I took them religiously from 36weeks for my second and she was born within two hours of contractions starting. Apparently they make your contractions more effective.0 -
I had raspberry leaf tea for a few months until my little one was born. Don't know if it worked. From what I remember its supposed to make it less likely that you'll tear. Unfortuantely my lo was dinky, so don't know if I didn't tear because of the tea or because of her size. She was also induced, so don't know if it was fast because of the inducement, or the tea.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

I tore quite badly inside and out as my boy was 11lbs!! That was a shock:eek: .
No one tells you how much it is going to hurt the week or so after the birth.
I remember feeding my son at 3am crying at the pain in my mammoth boobies and being unable to sit comfortably due to the stitches and black bruising which spread right across my buttocks.
Also surprised by the way milk squirts out while in the bath if baby is due a feed.
Many things I was unprepared for and as a nurse I should have known better:rotfl:0 -
People feel they can say stupid things to you like 'ooh it's going to be a big baby', or 'ooh I have a feeling its a girl' like how the heck can they tell! or 'ooh you're big' when in fact this time I have only put on a stone and a half that includes the baby and i was HUGE with DS1, as heavy as this before i STARTED on the pregnancy almost.
Then when you have had the baby - or even before it's 'ooh you don't want to breastfeed (don't I???) I have been told 'i suppose you will want a ceasarian - (NOT by a doc by someone I know!) ermm...no, I don't actually.
And if anyone goes to touch my belly I think i may be tempted to grab their @ss without asking.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
