This post has had me in stiches for hours. Its great! I have a 16 month old and am pregnant with my second due in feb.
bad skin - i have new spots appearing about twice a week, feel like a teenager all over again. + ezcema so bad im scratching all the time.
forever going to the toilet. Sometimes i'll run to the toilet feeling like my bladder is about to burst only to let out a trickle. i then sit there for a few minutes feeling like something more has got to come out and nothing! then when i get up about half a hour later i'll be back in the loo
I know this has probably been mentioned but i have to mention it again cos it was a massive shock to me. The state of your body after child birth. not only do you get stretch marks , flabby belly , extra weight etc but i found that my skin lost its firmness and i had more cellute even through i hardly put on any weight. The worst was my thighs and butt. I used to have a bootilicous firm butt but after havin dd my butt is saggy and droppy.
I hate the way everyone says "You're Glowwing". I ain't glowwing it's sweat from having racing hormones and carrying an extra 2 stone!!
The state of your bladder afterwards. I had a c section so i thought i would be ok. (yeah right) i remember on the day after dd was born when I had to go toilet, I had a private room with a en suite but cos i'd been really ill I had a drip in (the one which they plug in) . Anyway on one occasion i was dying to go but the pain was so bad and the drip cord was twisted and i just couldn't make it to the loo and ended up wetting myself. How embrassing!! i was really lucky cos my husband was there and went to get me some new sheets and helped me clean up before any guests arrived.
I have to say that on that day i really apreciated him and it made me love him that little bit more.0 -

Hubby asked last night "what's a cervix?" so I explained. Then he asked "so what does 3cm dilated mean and how do they measure it?". I explained about the cervix opening before birth, but then I told him they measured it with a Helix ruler. He believed me, until I burst out laughing
:rotfl:
I have told him the truth nowHere I go again on my own....0 -
They never tell you how much babies mess with your sleep. It's not only when they wake up for a feed but at every whinge, cough, stir or movement. I'm sure they put something in the vitamin injection to make us super sensitive to every sound the baby makes!!.
And they never tell you that no matter how many times your partner says he's gonna get up and do night feeds he rarely does. Not because he doesn't want to, but by the time he actually wakes up the baby has been bawling for 5 minutes!
They never tell you how much a baby changes your lives and your relationship.
They never tell you about the secret mother's club. you know, the way people talk to you differently, they have more respect for you, they treat you kindly and they are more willing the share their thoughs and experience (can sometimes be a bad thing)
They never tell you how amazing a baby is and how wonderful, proud and blessed you feel to watch them grow and develop.0 -

I remember being at home after my first was born we had guests downstairs admiring our beautiful newborn daughter.. I was sat upstairs sobbing my heart out because 'I missed bean and wanted my bump back'.

They never tell you how once you've hit the huge bump stage, your tummy becomes public property, and everyone's allowed free access to stroke, poke or gasp at it's enormity.
Can't complain though, it's actually rather lovely.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
They don't tell you that you'll miss your bump or be glad to sleep on your back again - even for only short periods of time!
Or that you'll miss the MSE Pregnancy Club now you don't qualify any more!
To solve this, have all you mums & dads got tips that would be useful for the new MSE Parent Club?
