Hello one and all and lots of love tucked in.

Ginnythat is brilliant news. You will have a great holiday and new clothes will make it even more special. So glad for you .

pssoi know it's no help but you are very much in my thoughts. Time will not stand still and I hate waiting for hospital things. It can not be over quickly enough and then you will be back home with everyone you love xx

shazso sorry to read of your news. That is not something to look forward to either but it will surely ease your pain and make it easier to give Edna the hardest kick.

pippasorry to read of DOH tooth. X

Kathyi hope life calms down a bit soon or otherwise you might need another glass of vino collapso!!!!

Lots of good wishes to MIAS

Well we fly home on Sunday. The first time leaving a car here. Great not to have the long, long, long journey. But, shall miss seeing Kathy and less hooking time of course.

We are busy here clearing up and settling the house for the Summer. So not much woolly stuff going on but I will soon put that right when I get home.

    Xxx to everyone
Try and do a good deed every day.

sock-knitter good to hear edna has been given a kick up the you know where just sorry to hear you are struggling with the knees - hopefully you won't have to wait too long to be sorted xx

lovely to see some new ladies joining - welcome xxx

bit of gardening here today sun has been out and so has the vest top feeling a little chilly now, DS has a friend round and we are shortly having tea then some knitting. Have found a new avenue for some squares/blanket strips, the blanket strips are a lovely way to keep on the go and use up all those odds that i "save" and then feel so overwhelmed with the carrier bag full ... Im sure you will know what I mean.

This week has been a little on the manic side the days are flying by don't know where the time goes.

Lots of love to you all and hope you have a lovely weekend, if today is anything to go by I'm sure it will be lovely.

Hi everyone from a beautifully sunny part of France.

Chalky - safe journey home; hope the weather follows you! I also hope that William is healing well; you must be counting the days until he is out of plaster.

Pippa - how lovely that you managed to spend time with Mrs Twins.

    Elaine - thinking of you.

F1 - glad you've found another outlet for your blanket strips. I've really been enjoying crocheting all the blankets that I've made, and knowing that they will be useful to the residents in my Mum's care home when I take them over.

Jean - I hope you are taking time off now and again; you are always so busy! Time seems to disappear faster here, doesn't it?

Ginny - how wonderful that you have a trip planned. It will be lovely for both of you.

Shaz - hope Edna leaves you alone for a long while.

Well, I am still working on blankets but lightweight ones now because I've run out of large enough amounts of DK, so I'm using up the 4-ply that I have. Even DH can't believe that I've used 'all that wool' up! Last night I made myself some dishcloths. I only like the pure cotton ones (the white ones with the red edges). I've not been able to find a decent dishcloth in France, so I always stock up when we visit the UK. I get through loads of them; it's one of my 'things', I suppose. DH reckons I'll die with a dishcloth in my hand! Anway, in my stash I found two 100gm balls of white dishcloth cotton, so I am making myself a new batch. The stash is really reduced now, and looks quite sad, so I am planning a HUGE shopping spree when I visit my favourite wool shop later on this month.

The people who owned the holiday home that we have looked after for the last four years, are busy collecting their belongings from it, prior to the final signing on Tuesday. It's been a manic time for us because we've undertaken a lot of the hassle. They are taking us out for a meal this evening, which we are really looking forward to. It's at a restaurant in the countryside that we've been to a few times. I love a day when I don't have to cook!

Well, I can't avoid doing lunch so I'd better go and get on with that.

I hope the sun is shining for you all.

    KathyXX

One of my challenges set by my pwp is to sort out and decorate my bedroom. I've bought the paint (going out of the house and shopping are other challenges) and had a huge clear out.
I found a few balls of yarn that I had forgotten about, I was like a little child in a sweet shop every time I found some.
I managed 2 cardigans, 2 bodywarmers and 11 hats for the baby unit last month so need to get some more done now.
