a lovely MSEer posted the information on one of the MSE craft threads i go on, because this is such a lovely make for charity i hope she wont mind me quoting her here. but please can you thank her original post as well. on the same page, just a couple of posts above there are some photos of the gorgeous bags she has already made. i checked the list and a hospital local to me uses these so im hoping to hand deliver mine. also i requested some labels and they came today. the labels are free of charge so it just costs the material (which will come mostly from my stash)

My bags will go to Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow - can't remember how I came by contact details for it.

There's a Beads of Courage tab with instructions and a list of hospitals and an address for sending them off. I notice they don't mention the labels at all.

More info on the US site http://www.beadsofcourage.org/

Link for labels - they came from Tucson, no postage charge, ordered online!

    Thanks for your interest.

ginny - it just goes to show they aren't always right we do know our own bodies, and instinct tells us when something isn't quite right...have a wonderful time you and your hubby on your most needed break away... no plans for another caravan
I love them but OH isn't too keen, when I was a kid we had just 4 holidays from when I was 5 yrs old until I left school at 15, and it was always a caravan I loved them then and I still do

Bag is packed with some woolly stuff ready to start a shawl for MrsTwins at SIBOL not too much though as the car is going to be rammed full of all sorts...hate it when the car is so full

Better go and check dinner its OH's favourite tonight cottage pie and loads of veg.

    May be back later Axx

  • Shaz - is it today for the pre-op assesment on the knees?? If so I hope it goes well for you, can't imagine the pain that busted knees would involve.
No word yet on Psso - but I am still holding her in my thoughts and prayers.
Bloomin raining today so I am confined to indoor jobs - of which there are plenty. I have 'lost' a pattern I was intending using on the knitting machine blowed if I can find it in this house - can't for the life of me remember where I downloaded it from either, so will just have to start an internet search all over
will check the history first see if I can locate it,
Ye all have a wonderful day whatever you are doing

Shaz, hope all goes well with the knee's business. I only had mine cleaned out a few years ago, its when I was running everyday and it used to lock and was painful all the time. It was a quick in and out as a day case and rest and physio at home. I have never looked back, not a twinge or a click. I know you are having the full monty but if its half as good as mine you will be great xxx

Am trying to sort all the holiday stuff but Oh has his fishing things all over the living room so am going to do it tomorrow as he will have run out of steam by then :D

Have decided to take my yarn and needles for jelly baby knitting and try and get a lot made. Its my own pattern and I usually give them as gifts for new babies but am thinking of trying to sell them online. I do sets of five in cellophane with a big ribbon so I will have to see how they go.

Hope everyone is having nicer weather than us - its dull damp and chilly. xxx
