you lot are making me hungry mentioning all the home baked goodies that you've been making, I no longer bake, since boys left home, leaves more knitting time,
talking of the boys, psso, thanks for asking, they are both really happy and settled, just need to find jobs, Joshua is at college, and still working voluntarily, as he has done since he was 16. the manager is putting him thru college, so he has the qualifications as well as work experience in working with disabled children and young adults.
Daniel, has a small part time job delivering leaflets, and topping up his income with benefits, both would love a full time job, but theyre finding it hard to get one, despite trying very hard.
I get lots of comments now, about how polite and good mannered they are, makes me feel proud to be there mum.
taking Daniel to scarboro today for a day out, taking josh to Skegness in july,

Well knitting mojo is returning I'm really pleased to say - Edna is part-time visitor which is way better than full time visitor and her black dog :D
I've ebayed some bits and bobs they finish tonight so some pennies back in the pot :T:T

30 INNOCENT SMOOTHY HATS

That was a first time of not finishing them as I went along - and I shan't be building up a heap again - I REALLY DIDN'T LIKE ALL THAT FINISHING in one day!
Still have three eggs and half a wabbit left - so not totally choco-holicked out! Photies to follow tomorrow when I have a bit more time.

Definitely out of practice with the baking malarkey. Melting moments didn`t turn out as they should - used half fat butter stuff instead of the real thing, or even stork. Felt too dry and crumbly when rolling into balls and went brownish instead of golden. NO, I didn`t burn them, just left them in a minute longer than usual.

Anyway, they must have been OK as there are only half a dozen left, DS ate so many when they came out of the oven, he didn`t want anything at teatime.

I hate sewing up and finishing too roamin.I used to make Barbie clothes for DDs dolls and church craft stalls but gave up as sewing all those little bits together was too much.If I ever get a granddaughter I might take it up again.

Six hats, six scarves and six pairs of mitts and a few squares finished in Lent. I was going to have a break from knitting and finish my patchwork quilt but the local library are asking for knitted poppies and there's quite a bit of red wool left from the scarves so might try knitting a few.

Make that one more for hating sewing up, i always think my sewing up spoils my work and i just plain hate doing it :D

hope we have all had a good day everyone seems to have been busy.

We have had a terrific thunder storm this afternoon now left with a bad head :mad: been washing and ironing (whoops mentioned housework), got rid of three boxes of "stuff" via ebay sales out of the door today too. Did a few rows of a blanket. so all in all a successful day - just trying to prise DS into school mode he goes back tomorrow - dh went back to work today after having a day off

Going to be lonely again tomorrow ........ what can i possibly do to entertain myself ... tea, biscuits, my easter egg, tv, audio books, and knitting mixed in with a little (very little!) bit of you know what beginning with H

Hello everyobe and lots of love tucked in for each and every one of you.
Hope the chocolate and cookie fest was enjoyed by everyone.

We had a few days away over Easter visiting a friend who was over on holiday.it was lovely to see her and just have a break. No computer just chat.

Can anyone tell me what photo sharing engine we can use at the moment. Photo bucket is not playing nicely and wants me to upgrade and pay !

on the 14 things in 2014 thread we have a flickr page to put all the stuff together on and can easily post links from that onto mse.
you can also have your own seperate flickr that you share the group ones across from

photo bucket just let me put a couple of cross stitch photos in my bucket, so it seems its being selectively mean to you chalky - boo hiss to photobucket, i hope you get it sorted out soon.

so far today ive done not a lot, ive read a book, did 30 mins on wii fit for the 1st time since before christmas:eek::o done a bit of stitching gathered some sleeping hedghogs into one place and thought about ironing and making soup for tea. that is rather shameful, think im still in holiday mode.

need to blitz kitchen and prep soup in the next 30 mins, planning to knit some IS hats tonight as ive found local CS is taking them again so will save on postage.
