Chalky, what brilliant, fantastic, wonderful news! You must be so relieved that now the healing process is really on the way. Hugs to you all, and especially to little William. Let's hope this next six weeks whizzes by!

Chalky, that is good news. Hope you both sleep better tonight.
Think I need someone to hit me over the head with a very large hammer to get a full nights sleep. Can get to sleep usually, then wake about 3 and that`s me till about 5. Can do quite a lot of squares in that time.;)
Been a bit lazy this weekend. Went out to see my friend last night so caught up with all the news and put the world to rights.Lots of chat, coffee and chocolate biscuits. Had to help her declutter the biscuit tin from christmas.
Today DS took me to get some bags of compost so that I can potter about in the little greenhouse next week. Have some tubers which need to be planted and some small plants which have spread over the gravel in the drying area. They need to be rescued and grown on in pots to be transplanted when the back border has been sorted out. Hopefully it will be nice weather.
Have done a few squares for the blanket, though not as many as there would have been if I`d stayed at home. Nice to get out for a change, but my friend isn`t crafty so I leave my wool and hook at home. Must admit my fingers get twitchy and I feel it is a waste of valuable time if I`m not doing something though.
Anyway, DD is away to the chinese takeaway for our meal so I`m REALLY having a lazy weekend. Not very mse is it, but it`s only once in a blue moon.
Back to mince `n` tatties tomorrow :rotfl:

Oh Chalky, thats wonderful news, bless the little man he must have been very good and not wriggled.
Psso i know what you mean, my fingers itch if I have to sit and socialise. Its nice to see friends but I really cannot stop making things
Kathy sounds like you had a crazy day with things being cut down and all the chaos, hope things are quieter now.
Dd and co took me to my Mums today, had to leave Oh in bed. Mum was very down as her deafness has gotten worse but has been to clinic about it. She is very fed up so we thought Dgs would cheer her up and of course he did and was super cute with her. Then they took me to Morri*ons to do a bit of shopping so I dont have to carry anything which was lovely. Got home and Oh was fine, he had slept a lot then eaten the meal I left and was playing with his railway when I got back.
I have to wait for 10 days then go back to the docs re - the BP so we shall wait and see.
Hugs to all xxClearing the junk to travel light

Lovely day here again still a bit cold but none of the wet stuff, dried a long line of washing...so good to see it blowing on the line
Well the girls have gone home and it's sooo quiet... no more morning chats while grandad does breakfast...no more knitting lessons or book reading, we have had 'Diary of a wimpy kid' and 'Horrid Henry' this time....their reading tastes have changed over the last couple of years, it's quite nice to be read to and they both read so well
:j:T:jgreat news chalky he was very good keeping still for so long ...not easy for an active little chap perhaps the ipad keeping him occupied had something to do with it, we are both so pleased for you all, hope you all had a good nights sleep xx

Good morning all, hope the sun is shining where you are. Nice and bright and breezy here so washing machine is doing a load of DS's jeans. Good to get them out for a blow.
Might get the sheets off my bed as well. Mmm, I do like a nice clean, fresh bed. If I win the lottery that will be my indulgence - someone to wash and change my sheets every day.
Split up some Jacob's ladder plants and a geranium yesterday and potted them up so will go and look for some seedling alchemilla today. Need some cheap and cheerful things to fill some spaces. Can't get cheaper than free can you.
Sewed buttons on to four baby bodywarmers last night. They have been lying down beside my chair for a while,so another job done. I have a couple of interwoven baby blankets which need the ends sewn in. I like doing them but there are lots and lots of ends. SIGH.
Will set myself the challenge to do six every time I sit down with a cuppa. I'll either be very thirsty or they will be finished very soon :rotfl:
Have a good day and I'll be back later.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Good morning one and all.... And lots of love tucked in for each and every one of you.
Thank you again for all the good wishes. My heart is feeling so much lighter this week . I know they have a long way to go but at least it's in the right direction. To have had your thoughts beside me helped me more than you know.
Please feel that mine are with you too if times are hard right now.
psso so glad you are feeling like pottering even if it does not include sewing in ends. I like that bit and sewing squares together. None so strange as folk! Wished we all lived closer then we could share out the jobs we hate .
pippa it sounds as if you had such a special weekend. Goodbyes are so hard aren't they. Love to Mum.
Kathy
You sound as if you have been a social butterfly this week. Glad they got the Internet sorted... A very French way methinks.
jeanhope you have achieved all you wanted as you had some time to yourself. But knowing you that would be impossible.
Ginnywhilst my mind was full of William I did not acknowledge your kind offer about the Indian hospice. I am thinking about it a lot just now so will get back to you if I come up with anything. I hope all the results about blood pressure etc are good.
shazthe boys 19!!!! Amazing. I hope Edna has well and truly gone. How is your Mum these days?
Mrs Moneypennyi keep thinking about those sweet little hoglets. Only sleeping for a while longer. Hope you are enjoying the Easter break.
F1 Helloooooooooooo?
Well I am making a start on something other than pacing the house or sitting by the laptop ... Chutney always sells well at my Yoga classes so a big batch is in the pan to swell the Indian hospice funds next week.Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
I shouldnt have bothered you with it at the moment Chalky, just thought it might give you something to occupy your mind a little, not that I want you to stop thinking about your darling boy just a project for when things settle down xxx
Oh finally seeing a new psychologist right now so am pottering around till he gets back. Hoping it goes well although they cant offer much due to budget constraints.Am busy with fleabay and my de-cluttering, its going well upto now.
Off to mind Dgs for an hour tonight while his Mummy takes advantage of the clothes sale at Mr S. Im sure she will come back with lots of bargains for the boy and maybe one thing for herselfShe is picking up some new plates and bowls for us as all ours are odd and past their best. Of course I have my precious china but that is for special days. She is such a thoughful girl, the pots are from Mr M where she works and she took pics on her phone to show me which I would like - blessed !
