Thank you Mrs M, RITG, Pippa S and Thirzah!!

Being fairely new to knitting I knew odd places but not any online other than the bigger retailers of crafts. I will note the websites and take a look at them :)
I will also speak with the charity shop next time I pop in and see if they have anything. Next time I'm near the hobbycraft closest to us (18miles away as I live right out in the countryside :D ) I will take a look. Thank you all again!!!

-> Just had a quick look on IceYarns ooooooooo I'm spoilt for choice and much much better prices than when I go to the local knitting shop :D Thank youuu!!!!

Hi Newthrift, and welcome to you. I see that some of our lovely ladies on here have already pointed you in the right direction for wool. They have posted some great links.

Pippa - yes, it was that wheelchair wrap so it was you who posted it - thank you so much! Have a great time with the girls!

Have been thinking about William and hoping that today has been a better day for him than yesterday. Hugs to you, William, and to your family.

Hello everyone and welcome to a lovely new member.

Thank you again for all your kind thoughts, virtual cuddles and supportive comments. I wake in the night and just think of him lying there so end up getting up. This morning, because they are 2 hours in front of us I managed to have a quick message and the doctor had been and was discharging them. The follow up examination is this Sunday. They are not leaving it so long this time so we have everything crossed that things will settle down..

Your support has helped me more than you know. Thank you.

psso I can almost think of a rude saying which can be made with your letters. Sorry not very ladylike of me but they really should not be bothering you.

pippa have the best weekend full of fun and laughter. Thank you for trying to send a text. I know it will have been a lovely one.

Xx x to you all .
Try and do a good deed every day.

Hello Newthrift, welcome to the thread, hope you will pop in often.

I can recommend Marriner yarns as I've had a couple of orders from them,I like their yarn and delivery was very quick. Have also used Kemps and again fast delivery, they often have bargains in their clearance section.

Painting in the kitchen today, just some bits that the 'one coat' didn't cover in one coat  then we'll maybe get the carpet tiles down and be all done at last.

    Back later.

  • PSSO - that one coat paint had better work for me - DS' bedroom is only getting one coat...........due to arrive here with himself after, his UK shopping trip, his visit to some war graves in Belgium, the Paris - Roubaix bike race on cobbles, then he also said he had a couple of stops at the Lochnagar crater and the Heart Of Midlothian war memorial..... you can tell why I am at home doing crafty gardening stuff.

Sending out a ton of love to everybody I have been in the garden all day so off for a shower and change of clothes, cuppa and sit down quietly.

Roamin-good luck with the paint. Most annoyed as I had to go and buy a second tin AND it wasn't the cheap own brand stuff either,it was crown.

Oooh, a bike race over cobbles. My eyes are watering at the thought of it. Hope they have lots of padding.;)

Sitting knitting the next hat tonight, having a change from grannies. Variety is the spice of life,eh ?

Chalky - rude saying ? Wonder what that could be (probably the same one which flashed through my head):p

Off to relax with wool and wine.

    Good evening all

Hugs to all of you who are in need of one. Hope all the poorly ones are soon better.

I haven't done any knitting but have been busy crocheting. Do have a couple of projects in the pipeline.

We went and brought paint to do the hallway today and managed to get some wallpaper for the spare bedroom for a pound a roll. We are getting there, all the major work is now done just decorating, the outside and the garden to do. Will it ever finish? In about a year I think.

Of to bed now night all
