Knit Your Square to Give Your Share - PART 4

Hi, the 3d blanket is easier than it looks. All you do is a white square of 2 rounds then do along 2 sides with 2 rows of treble blocks. and repeat with 3 colours in total. Black grey and white look good but Im sure with careful choosing it could be done in pink, lilacs or blues. You would have to stand in the wool shop and make sure the colours are all the same type to get the effect. I went round all the squares in white so they popped out then edged it.
The throw I did for my friend arrived at her house today and she is very pleased. I did that one on a 3.5 hook as the yarn was thin, normally I do 4.00. The squares are about 4 inches and I did 100 of them then a few rows of a mix of dc and trebles then a row of smaller squares using up what yarn I had leaving enough for a border. Does that all make sense?Clearing the junk to travel light

Jean - I am up early this morning. I had a fall yesterday and hurt my hip which woke me up early, so I've been Pinteresting and found this pattern:
http://bevscountrycottage.com/maggieslippers.html It might be something you can adapt to the machine.
For all of us, I also found this which made me laugh (and applies just as much to knitting as to crochet):

Dd has taken little J to nursery so better get dressed as I think she intends to go shopping before we pick him up again. Better be ready or she'll moan.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

OK the face has gone down - the blood counts are awful - no real idea of what is causing the reaction and on top of everything else I have now got a patch of shingles (and I know this next bit is far too much information - but you're getting it - trouble in the knicker department) more meds than a chemist shop - I am really looking forward to the weekend and staying awake for a whole DAY. I need to get the tunnel and greenhouse sorted out as well as all sorts of other stuff.
The good thing about absence is IT MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER - I missed reading postings so will go and catch up now, then its a glass or two of relaxing wine - DH is chef tonight - his own recipe PIZZA which he can make all by himself quite well, without my assisting.
Lots of Love and cuddles to you all. Will catch up over the weekend.

Oh Roamin, you really must be run down to be hit with all that. Have you had antibiotics? they usually send birds in the kickers department.
Feeling low myself today, think Im just weary but had a lovely cuddle with Dgs earlier so all my blessings are counted. He is teaching himself to count in Frenchso his other grandad will be chuffed when he little man visits in April. Hubby is sat painting a little house for his model railway but it seems to involve drilling and hammering so maybe I misheard and he is building a bar in his bedroom ....puzzled smiley :rotfl:
