Hi everyone from a sunny (at last!) corner of France.
I will do the update later on this afternoon but just thought I would pop in now because it's the first chance I've had since before the weekend.
Jean - I love all those pairs of slippers. You are so clever with those knitting machines! They all look really comfortable, too.
Mrs Moneypenny - I love all your lovely makes. You've been really busy.
Shaz - lovely to hear from you and to hear that things are going well for your family.
Elaine - I wish you well and hope you've had the phone call by now.
F1 - I've been doing blankets, too, mainly just in rows, but I'm debating whether to do one in squares next time. I am really getting through my stash, and squares would be ideal for using up the smaller oddments that I have. I hope your DH is doing well.
Ginnyknit - hope you got your edging done! I'm just doing the edging on my latest blanket, then I shall start the next one. Hope OH is doing well.
Well, I suppose I had better go and do some lunch, then try and get the update done.
Will call back later.

 Helloooooo, am I too late to do my first update for the year Kathy ?
24 hedgehogs (some already away to chalky, some awaiting transport)
6 baby blankets
3 pet blankets
1 childs hat
During decluttering I came across a few ufos - well QUITE a few - some I haven`t seen for years. Will try to work my way through them, honest. Could take some time though as I know that other projects will be calling to me.
Already had a request for a smaller version of the random pink/white blanket I just finished, big enough to tuck into a car seat, so about two feet square. The big one is about a metre square. I`ve done it with 8" squares, so will only need 5 white and 4 pink. Halfway there already
Must see if I can remember how to add pics and have a `tada`moment.
No phone call yet - maybe just as well as I have developed a rotten head cold and sore throat again. Can`t seem to shake the bugs off just now, getting one thing after another.
Off to have a cup of soup and a sandwich for lunch and see how much of this blankie I can get done. Will plug in my audiobook and crack on, DD and little J are away to a birthday tea this afternoon, so no distractions.
Love and hugs to all.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Yippee :j I have a new `taxi driver` DD has passed her driving test this morning. I`m so pleased as it means I don`t have to run her here, there and everywhere now. Only snag is I`ll never see my car now.
Blanket is coming on, only have one more square to do then sew it up, hopefully be finished tonight.
If you want a peep at my stuff from last year have a look here.

Would normally have taken it down to Lou in May when I go to the knitting show but I don`t know whether I`ll be there this year so sent it to Kate for distribution instead.
Hope all poorlies are improving, still sniffling and sneezing here and very tired as not sleeping well.

Hi everyone
Elaine - you must be very proud of yourself; it's amazing what you have achieved and everything in your photos looks wonderful. Hope you get that phone call very soon. Congratulations to DD on passing her test. I would hate to have to do it these days what with all the theory and so on. It was much easier when I passed so many summers ago!
Anyway, I said I would do the update yesterday but, as usual, time ran away from me. I have just done it and you can find it here:

Thank you all so much for some fantastic totals! My own was just:
Lap blanket: 1
I hope you are all having some good weather. It's truly like spring here and set to last, so they say, for about twelve days!

well done to your Dd Psso. Yay :j less taxi duty for you. I should have left a fringe on my scrappy scarves
.
Have finished the throw, its on my blog if you would like to look, please say Hi if you do and make my dayAnother frined has just sent me a parcel of yarn to make her one after seeing the other one. She works very hard and should be retired but can't afford to yet and has terrible arthur-itis like me. If a snuggly blanket cheers her up am happy to hook her one.
If you add up all the people whom we have made smile with our crafty goodness its an awful lot of joy we are spreading by doing something we love. No matter how tough things are a wee parcel of lovingly made things really does make you feel loved, I know it makes me feel wonderful when my dear friends ( you know who you are) think about me. I am blessed xxx
Am hoping Oh can get up and about today though he did surface for a couple of hours yesterday. I found a huge hole in the roof on Saturday, thanks to Dgs wanting to play out in the back garden. I saw all these bits of grey pot and wondered what the heck they were, then the penny dropped - roof slates - we have unusual curvy tiles and I have never seen them close up. So yesterday the landlords chap came and fixed them :j I havent had a close look in the back garden since the storms though I had a look at the front of the roof from the street the other day and all was fine. Honestly a passing dragon could have roosted in there! Luckily it hadnt broken the felt underneath or the chap sorting the loft out would have seen that last week, maybe because there would have been a swimming pool up there
Shaz lovely to hear things are going well for you. xx
Mrs Mp lovely cuddlys you have made - owls are so cute.
Kathy glad you have a little sunshine, makes everything feel better but makes you windows look smudgy
F1 have pm'd you xxxxClearing the junk to travel light
