It`s `invisible` and I only found it by moving the cursor over the page near the `can`t upload bit`.

Got the little pic uploaded but now can`t find the bit with the forum code...........grrrrrrrr. Stupid puter !!!!

By the way Jean, my upload box isn`t blue it`s white.

    Of course I am ;)

I don`t know what this old puter is up to. Instead of a picture, I often just get a wee box with a red x in it. Most annoying when it happens.

Don`t worry about it Jean, I`ll get it sussed SOMEDAY

Off you go and enjoy your monster watching.

My little monster is not his usual self today. He was up several times through the night being sick. His cousin must have very kindly passed on his bug on Monday night when he went for a sleepover - no doubt we will all develop it at some time over the next few days. DEEP JOY:( .........NOT.

Hope all are well (((hugs))) if you need them.

OOh psso children are kind sharing their bugs arent they...eeeuch!

Back from a lovely break in Newcastle. Everyone is so kind and helpful up there, especially when Im pushing OH's wheelchair. Beamish musuem was bliss, enjoyed every minute, come back very achy but happy. The weather was very kind to us thankfully. Oh didnt sleep well so we had to pace ourselves but still got everything done we wished for.

Need to settle down now and tuck us in for the winter. Have my list of things to do for Christmas but am already half done.

    Sending hugs to all. xxx

Hello all, hope you are well.
Chilly and very windy here today so the leaves are falling and whirling about. Soon be bare branches.

Ginny - glad to see you enjoyed your break. I`ve always fancied a trip to Beamish. One day I`ll maybe get there.

Mrs m - sounds as if you are extremely busy just now.
Remember to breathe now and again.

Finished the second pixie hat last night and both are now sewn up. Just need a tassel or pompom on the ends. Started a beanie type hat to use up the last of the yarn, just hope there`s enough.
My plan is to use up the whole ball of wool before starting another project, so that I don`t have so many small balls / leftover bits lying around. Hmm, we`ll see how long that resolution lasts.

Off for a cuppa and a couple of jaffa cakes. Must keep the inner woman going.

Ooooo quiet on here just now. Has everyone gone on hols or hibernating already ?

Had hoped for a day in knitting but no joy. DS had a text from the phone shop to say his phone was fixed and ready to be picked up so Mum`s Taxi was called. DD and little J were going in the same direction so we all piled into the wee motor and set off. Family outing.

Had a couple of lattes out of it though. First was st&rbucks -never been before, I lead a sheltered life, then later in the afternoon DD treated us to afternoon cuppa at a biggish garden centre. She and DS had cake /strawberry tart and little man and I shared a gingerbread skeleton !

Was a wee bit naughty and bought a couple of balls of wool in one of the shops we visited. Surprisingly, my woolly rottweiller didn`t say a word. She must be sickening for something.........

Venturing further afield tomorrow to ANOTHER garden centre. They usually have a lot of lovely Christmas things on display just about now. Must TRY to get some enthusiasm for the festive season this year. Been bah humbug for the last few years.

Finished another hat last night, haven`t kicked the addiction yet, but I think I will start the new wool and it will be a corner to corner blanket. Very bright it will be too.

Hope to see some of you soon.

Hi everyone. I've been MIA for a while - internet problems, helping friends to move, and helping to look after a friend's mother who became ill within a few days of her holiday here. It's been a bit hectic to say the least, but I think things are starting to calm down a bit now!

I hope you are all keeping well. I haven't done the update for two weeks so will get that done in a minute.

Chalky - I hope you had a lovely time with your daughter in Barcelona and that the rest of your trip home went well.

Jean - hope the monsters, and your DH and his blisters, are behaving themselves.

Elaine - I lead just as sheltered a life having never had a Starbucks, either! My coffee tastes are simple - very strong and black and with no sugar, so I think a latte would be wasted on me!

Ginnyknit - so glad that you had a good trip to Newcastle.

Mrs Moneypenny - I hope you manage to take some time off for yourself, but I know what it's like when time just seems to run out on you!

Well, off to do the update then, finally and hopefully, get the sewing machine out to make the bathroom curtains that I planned to make a week ago. I've already held myself up today, though. I was looking for some binding tape and came across a huge box packed full of ribbons, lace, ric-rac and so on, and they were in such a tangle that I now have them all over the kitchen table ready for sorting, which I will do as soon as the update is done.

:jYay, someone else is here besides me. I thought I had killed the thread:eek:.

Kathy - ribbons, lace and ric rac. What a lovely way to [STRIKE]waste[/STRIKE] spend time. Sorting, rolling, folding, stroking......ahhhhhhh. Soothing.

Bit disappointed with my woolly buys from the weekend.
The one I bought for my next blanket, black with various bright colours isn`t coming out as I thought it would. Have used nearly 100g ball and it`s quite uneven yarn. Thick in some parts and very thin in others. It`s King Cole Wicked and I thought it would be better quality.

The other one I bought for hats is also King Cole, Superball. It`s quite a thin DK so once this hat on the needles if done, I`ll be doubling it up and using slightly thicker needles for it.

Being a canny Scot, I would definitely think twice about buying them again. Better value for money with my Marriner yarns purchase (sshhhhh still have a fair bit of it to use) Out of sight out of mind ;)

Got both the `boys` here today. Little J is grandma sitting while his mummy is working and DS is suffering with the sicky bug now. Yuck.

Away to pick up the needles for a while and have a cuppa.
    Byeeee.
