  • Kathy/F1 anyone else......... the apple cider vinegar I use is whatever I happen to remember to buy..... I certainly didn't ever go out of my way to buy organic (in France just finding a health food store is a bit of a nightmare). I take it with a dash of honey, some days I forget and don't always remember to have it three times a day either - so really I ain't the perfect study for this. I was 'introduced' to it by a lady on another forum who said that after doing it properly for a couple of weeks she found her fingers/hands/arms etc didn't hurt when she was knitting. I then thought well I will give it a go - perhaps its all in the mind - but if it works for you then GREAT STUFF.
CHALKY - think we had suspected you were bonkers - but we are all far too polite to ever mention it.
Shaz - keep taking all the cuddles you can get from that baby - and spreading them around the rest of us.
Mrs Moneypenny - wonderful snail - I did one last year as an extra Christmas pressie for a little boy I know who always used to collect them, in my best tupperware boxes with holes punched in the lids - and keep them in his bedroom - he just happened to be my son!!!!
Am back on the daft hats and knitting machine - no sign of any bodkin either the old one or for that matter the brand new posted one.......gggrrrrr

Hello all ..... hope you are all ok !

Well eventful day here - boiler gone - no hot water or heating and Im blooming freezing - we only turned it on for half hour at the weekend tried it this morning made some noises and now says its turned itself off for safety :eek::eek: Informed landlord "he will see what he can do"

I had to pop in to ask does the cider vinegar have any alcoholic properties as not normally a drinker at all I feel the need to start drinking - maybe the world will seem a happier place if I let myself go and had a drink :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:- don't worry am only having a bit of a joke - just some people ....... xx

Anyway Chalky, you mentioned the Fisher Price Train - I had the circus one and loved it - was about 4 (?) it had a lion, elephant, giraffe and Ringmaster and a funnel that if you pushed it went perp perp and also the lion truck door flapped down - oh I do wish I was little again I loved all of those things - DS didn't have one it wasn't as good when he was little and if I remember rightly a little on the expensive side

Your story has reminded me of a programme that DS used to watch when he was little - all the toys in the cupboard came alive when the child was not there - lovely animation - was it Old Bear (?) bit like Bagpus but a bit more modern.

Anyway I will be trying the vinegar - somebody told me that a neighbour swore by cherry juice - she tried it for a few months but nothing happened and then she did comment that neighbour had also been complaining that joints were again playing up - but has anyone else tried Cherry Juice - sounds very nice whether it works or not.

Oh and by the way am thinking of stomping and screaming for the craft den - still don't think it will work really - anyway you have to have a dream ..................... xx

Hugs to all hope you are all well - nearly forgot to mention I LOVE THE SNAIL - how cute!

    Talk soon xx

Thanks for the info, Jean. I have some that I bought from the supermarket so will try that first, and I have honey, too. I'll see how much the organic stuff is in the health food shop but suspect that it will be on the expensive side! It's a new shop and sells loads of different products; most of it is not cheap but it has a huge weigh-it-yourself section so you can treat yourself to small amounts of stuff.

    Lovely snail, Mrs Moneypenny!

Chalky - Loving the Adventures of the Edible William's Toys!

F1 - hope the boiler is sorted soon; it's not the best time of year to be without it. Hope you manage to get your den, too, whatever you have to resort to!

Well, so far I've done 2,400 words on virtual phone systems (yawn), and have a 1,500 word article to do next, on reasons for a small business to 'go mobile' - all riveting stuff (not!). Still, it's pennies in and DH is keeping himself occupied with finishing off the bathroom (although he's getting in the way, too!).

It has been really cool here today and I resorted to having to put socks on, which did not please me after weeks and weeks of flip-flops! Doing warming stovies for dinner - you'll know what that is, Jean!

Oops! Think it must be the cider vinegar! Mind you, I didn't notice that Jean has lost a day this week, and I only started the cider vinegar this morning!

I hope you have a terrific time at Bury Market - that's meant to be one of the best markets in the whole of England! It happened to be a Yorkshire lass that told me that too..................
