having just ordered the pom pom maker (works exactly the same as that link above) my dear friend Anita just sent me the above link - I am gutted I could have saved the dosh and made it from cut up corn flake box!!!! WHY ME??

Well, at least you shared the link which will save the rest of us! I can understand how cross you are, though! Isn't it always the way?

Perhaps you can email the seller and cancel that part of your order? Last week I ordered some National Garden tokens to be sent directly to my DS1 for his birthday but, by mistake, and because the website was not that easy to navigate, I had mistakenly asked for them to be sent to me. The order confirmation said that nothing in the order could be changed, but I emailed the site and a lovely lady sorted it out for me, and has assured me that they will go straight to him. If you can't get it stopped, perhaps you can send it back as unsuitable; even if they just give you a credit note, you could buy something you really wanted.

How much easier is winding separately than putting it together first - link BOOKMARKED for future use - thank you muchly Jean - I hate making them mostly because of getting the wool small enough to poke through hole !

Oh dear we have raised the bar now with the bag links - Im not making excuses but Im getting DS off to school, sit back and take a deep breath and a cuppa give me a couple of days to do my usual September clear up and that machine is coming out.;)

If I only master one bag before Christmas or even the stocking I have sitting in the drawer waiting to be sewn ........ it will be something!

Right am ofski - shall miss my big little man tomorrow but never fear I have TENKO lined up oh and about a dozen Midsomer Murders ..... Im not really a telly addict!

PS Mrs M - did think it was because of Mr Hunt's antics it was a 15 rated film - I brought his biography that came out a year or so ago, signed by writer and it came with free t shirt for hubby for xmas - t shirt has james hunt's slogan "Sex, Breakfast of champions" badge on it , it does make you laugh when you see proper footage of him, swearing, just won a race and trying to blag a cigarette off a spectator, drinking and other things ... now those drivers are super human !

it also makes you ashamed of how cheaply their lives were valued for a spectator sport, some of the conditions they drove in were terrible.

jean, he also looks like me trying to paint too, i'll stick with knitting.
not much knitting today tho, off to see my gorgeous grandson, and give him loads of cuddles and also some from all his aunties on here too.
then later this afternoon, i'm got an interview for my first ever passport, intend to escape the uk in near future even if its only a few days.
good luck with all the sewing, I have a machine that's like new, hasn't been out of its box since before I moved to this flat, will have to have a go with it one day.

Shaz - please give him lots of cuddles from me, too! Good luck with the passport interview, although having to be interviewed for one is a new one on me! How things change!

Lovely and sunny here. I shall get my article sent off, now that I have sussed out where I was going wrong. For some reason, I forgot that you can't save a document with special characters in the name. Once I had taken out a question mark and re-named it, it saved just like that! I must have saved hundreds of articles over the years but obviously without special characters in the title! Oh, well; every day's a school day! On the forum I went on to, you have to let them know if your problem has been solved, so I had to go back on there and confess. I think I was forgiven!
