Been so busy since we got back here there and everywhere, also had to take Mom to the clinic for the results of her neck scan, all seems well but they still can't say what caused the mini stroke only that she has some small blood clots behind the eye, they don't seem too bothered about them though, just waiting for the stroke nurse to contact Mom now.

F1 - love that blanket and so will the baby that gets it.
PippaS..... yep I also like the fairisle patterned hats but they are a right sausage to do.... and I have to keep that single braincell active for ages just to finish one. One of my nephews has just asked for an earflap hat as a Christmas Pudding, so will see what I can come up with during the week. I do love a challenge. Hope that the snowpeeps are all done and dusted - oh and the film was a good on.
Any news on the baby yet Sharon?
Love and cuddles to you all.

Hello everyone, hope you are well.
Having a quiet weekend here with lots of knitting. Might have to go on to crochet tho` as right hand is starting to give me gyp.
I had intended to do a bit of cutting back in the garden this weekend as it`s looking abit overgrown, but it was raining yesterday and the plants are still wet today so have given that a miss.
Actually managed to get on to LH website, read a post about knitted uteruses (uteri ?) and replied to it -before it all went belly up again.
Ah well, will maybe try again in another 2 months or so.........
Jean, you are going great guns with the hats, I`m sure you`ll come up with a stunning Christmas pudding one.
F1 and Pippa -lovely blankets.
Been doing scrappy scarves this week, 4 so far, so using up lots of small balls and odds and ends, and the best bit is there`s no sewing up to do. Yay.

Jean, just told my DS about you trying the hats on the dog and he says thats brilliant and he can see why we are friends :rotfl:
http://www.woollywormhead.com/sizing/
try this for size - no pun intended. Every picture you post is prettier than the last. I knit them for all my lot and have made some very snazzy coloured ones which they all loved. I do them sort of Peruvian style but simple patterns as Im simple when it comes to fair isle
Had to pull out of the craft fair as I found out the other day (by chance) that its outside and I have to supply a gazebo, table and chair  put them in the car and I would have to be strapped to the roof as there would be no blummin room left. Plus Im too achy to have my feet on possibly wet ground for 6 hours. I booked it because it was in the midst of a big event IN an art gallery not next door in the park :mad: I just wanted to be dropped off and left, inside, near the loo and not have to have someone help me set up and pack away so plan B now hmmmm.... not worked it out yet ....Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
Great stuff Ginnyknit - will print off their pdf on sizing and see how I get on. Glad you decided against the fair....you would have been frozen to a block of ice in no time at all. I have drawn out a couple ideas for daftie hats and will see how I get on during the week for time to get on the knitting machine, after I have punched out a few pattern cards and given them a try............

We are having lots of Skype contact with family and the edible. William . He is jumping into the swimming pool and w anting to be under the water all the time so I think he will be swimming before long.

Hi everyone
It's a bit gloomy here today so I hope it brightens up because I've got loads of washing to dry. Hope it's good where you all are in the UK, especially as it's a bank holiday!
Chalky - glad you're able to keep in touch with William via Skype. At that age hell pick up with swimming naturally. All my grandchildren have been swimming since they were a few months old and are like little porpoises now! I hope they all find a nice place that they can call home. I think the ex-pat community in that part of the world is really good, so it won't be long before they have settled.
Pippa - hugs to your mum.
Jean - trying hats on the dog; that really made me laugh but it sounds like a good idea!
Here is the update which I have just done: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhOgVamMPLdkdDdKVTJ6UWRPLThuejdDaDI0alQ1NVE#gid=0
Thank you all!
