roamin - how you doing?? Im sure by now knowing how good you are at doing all those jobs the polly tunnels are immaculate as is everything else - but hope you are not over doing it (she says waggling her finger in mid-air ) - big hug for you xxx
Am feeling so much better now still having the odd twang but so good I forget ive had it done must say that last week I think I did over do it one day and the old tummy was so swollen you could have sworn I was about to give birth at any moment :rotfl:almost as swollen as "that" documentary which was on the other night about the gentlemen with the "rather large" male parts (Im trying to be ever so polite .....););)
Anyway am really looking forward to the weekend as its the British Grand Prix - things are already hotting up here - town is apparently full of different team members and Tesco shelves are empty- even though I don't go out to get involved I do get excited - hubby and DS will be going to practice on Friday and then there is a staff party on Saturday where they can see the qualifying so as you can imagine DS is very excited - and my highlight of the weekend THE RED ARROWS - and then as is my usual not sleeping I heard them putting the cones out on the A43 about 2.30 in the morning the other day ........
As for knitting Im having one of my usual "hitting a wall" so have been thinking of something different to do - what has everyone else been doing?
Also have been thinking of projects for that thing that happens in December
Sending lots of hugs and gentle thoughts to all especially those with hands full or poorly xxxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -

OOh F1 how exciting to be part of the Grand Prix, even if from a little distance. It must be great when the family come home and talk about it. Hubby was involved in Speedway, behind the scenes and the kids and I watched a lot of races. The best bit was the riders coming round for coffee and a chat. In fact DD took DGs to watch a race last week but as Oh is no longer involved she had to pay  first time in her life
We were concerned DGs would hate it and DD said she would leave right away if so but no he loved it - cheering and jumping up and down clapping his hands the lot. So we are very pleased that engine oil runs in his veins like the rest of us
Im busy making hearts, crochetted and sewn for a charity event and they are in stages everywhere. Other than that just keeping OH busy while we wait for the next MRI in a fortnight, trying not to panic but struggling.
Sending much love and hugs to all.Clearing the junk to travel light

Very busy here lately with all sorts of things some good some not so good...
We took Mom out for the day on Tuesday and she loved it, struggled with the walking though but she wouldn't go in the wheelchair even though she was in agony, she wanted a new carpet so we took her to choose one then a wander round a couple more shops, next it was time for Lunch had a lovely meal then home...
kathy - I am so sorry to hear about your DBIL, he has fought hard all the way and remained so positive, my thoughts are with you all xx
jean - thank you for brightening my days with all the cheery morning posts
ginny - how lovely your DGS is carrying on the family tradition with the racing, I hope OH is comfortable as can be and you are managing to relax a bit x
mrs-m - hope the shingles disapears soon
f1 - OH is fine thanks for asking he still has to see the oncologist every 3 months but after september it may go to 4 or even 6 months we will see. It all sounds so exciting getting ready for the grand Prix. I hope you are not doing too much...
Made up another couple of SIBOL blankets from squares over the last few days, also hats for sailors, and a lovely letter from the Mission to Seafarers arrived this morning as well.
Off out to the club tonight not that I feel like it we've been all over the place again today and I am TIRED ....just want to sit and crochet

Pippa good news about your OH, even batter that they may stretch the visits out. Sorry your Mum was in pain, but she sounds a very determined lady
Hubby just been for a couple of days respite but came back early because he wanted his own bed. The car was full of plants that his friend Lee had got him from some sale or other again. I have a big empty bank at the back of the garden where they cleared the privets and old fencing from so I wanted something to go around my new apple tree's. We had agreed no more spending on the garden but with bush peonies and rhododendrons at 50p each he couldnt pass them upSo I guess I will be digging holes tomorrow as they need to go in as they are filling the pots.
Havent done much while he was away but I feel much more rested and ready to start work on some thing nice, when I decide what that is. :rotfl:Clearing the junk to travel light

Hi everyone from a damp but warmish France.
Thank you all so much for your kind and thoughtful words. They mean such a lot, and the support from my friends on here really is a comfort. My BIL could be in a hospice but has chosen to stay at home and, of course, my sister would rather keep him at home. If he decides to go into a hospice at any time, then he will, but she is leaving it up to him to decide. The doctors are on call at any time day or night, so he gets very good treatment. He is unable to eat or drink without being sick, which is so sad because he has always had a hearty appetite. He is still keeping as positive as he can but, as my sister says, they are looking for a miracle. I wish I could wave a magic wand.
