Hello again :) I've been reading now and again and trying to keep up.
Talking about injections - we used to have an old lady at church who needed injections for pernicious anaemia, but when she told you about it, it somehow sounded like a very 'nasty, vicious' sort of anaemia! I know it not a nice thing to have, but it made us smile at times when she described it!

Hi everyone; I've been having internet problems - again - probably due to the horrendous thunderstorms we've had here over the last few days. This is by far the worst summer I can remember, either here or in the UK!

Mrs Moneypenny - poor you, if you have shingles. My DS2 has just got over it, and my mum had it last year; it is a horrid thing to have, so I hope you get better very soon.

Mrs CD - good to hear from you.

Shaz - so glad that your mum's op went well. I wish her a speedy recovery.

Jean - I bet you're burning and turning in your sweatshop, aren't you?!

I have done the update, which can be found here:

aparently ive had it for about 3 weeks, explains why ive been feeling so rubbish. id been to drs about something else and asked him to look at a rash on of all places my knee! he said it didnt look too sinister but keep an eye on it. since then ive fallen up the stairs and broken half a toe nail off-id put the aches and pains in my leg and hip joint down to walking a bit funny cos of my stubbed toe, but yesterday at the hairdressers the dye made me feel all tingly and itchy she asked what was different and if id got any health probs, i mentioned the rash and she said it looked like shingles and to go back drs. yes it is. ive still got blisters appearing so got to put up with it a while longer. at least i have an excuse for feeling rubbish now

shaz glad your mum is alright.

mil has got dates for her injections sorted so hopefully she'll be feeling better soon

Oh, Mrs Moneypenny, what a convoluted way for you to finally find out what was making you feel unwell! And you stubbed a toe, as well; I hope that stops hurting soon. There's almost no pain like it, is there? I hope everything goes smoothly for you from now on. Glad MIL has dates now.

Shaz, sending hugs and hoping you come out of the other side of it soon xxx

Got a letter OH has to go back for another MRI as they couldnt get the proper view with the first one...and so it drags on... am weary with it all but have DGs today so that will make life lighter for a little while. Lots of snuggles and kisses hopefully.

Seem to have used the word HOPE a lot in this post but thats what I do all the time - hope my dear friends on here feel better soon and hope things improve. xx

  • OH Mrs Moneypenny - how I feel your pain.........I do hope you are soon on the mend. Shaz - glad you had a nice wee break in Scotland. Mioliere I hope that rotten weather leaves soon - but it doesn't look too promising. Ginnyknit enjoy the DGs - worry not about the scan - that's for another day.

This week I won a lovely present -guessing on a blog I visit - it hasn't yet arrived but here is the link to the pattern...........I am half way up doing my very first one - I would love to get loads of these done as extra little pressies for December (notice I didn't say THAT WORD).....see what you think - here is the link to the pattern. It really is a great tutorial - even I managed to not go wrong with it.

I have also been in the sweatshop - only cutting out so far but at least its a start
I managed to cobble a couple of dog beds for my own two with winter in the offing (did we ever get the summer?) I wanted to get them done and out of the way. I am still on my basketweave blankie that was the campervan project - seems I haven't done a great deal since the holidays - hey ho!

    UPDATE
7 blanket squares (I think I could do these in my sleep)

Love and cuddles to you all - I will pop in when I can - I have a tunnel full of MORE WEEDS and SLUGS than produce - I really should crack on and sort that out!

:wave:Hi MrsCD and any other lurkers :)

Well I am off to do a quick count up of stuff for tomorrows UPDATE then carry on putting another SIBOL blanket together, the squares all come from Moms friend Grace who is in her 80's and crochets to exercise her hands she had a bad fall some time ago and broke her shoulder then later her wrist as well, and she said the crochet helps keep her hand mobile, she only has limited movement as her wrist is locked now and doesn't bend at all.

enjoy the rest of your days everyone Ax
