    Morning all

NO I HAVEN'T !!! jean...well not maltesers I thought I'd have a change yesterday and had half a twix bar....and it was very errrmmm sticky...got it off now though :rotfl: (the tea was much easier to remove last time)

We have a free day today so we are off to Redditch to hit the shops, well I will OH will carry the bags, I'll take him to BHS cafe and sit him down with a Latte and newspaper then go forraging...

Did some of my friends blanket last night the first chance I have had, it is working out well just granny's and v's in pinks and lilac's hope she likes it.

I have had so many little things to do for people hedghogs, owls, flower brooches etc, always the same you make one for somebody then everyone wants one...I am not complaining they either put together and buy a ball of yarn or leave 50p towards yarn for the charities which is so nice of them.
I did say No at first but they kept leaving it with Mom, so I put a limit on it as they were wanting to pay too much.
Older folks are so sweet they will insist on giving something, it's a generation thing I think, so now I just thank them and leave few a few 'extra' for them :)

Better go, have good days all Ax

    Hi everyone

Here is a link to the latest update which I have just completed:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhOgVamMPLdkdDdKVTJ6UWRPLThuejdDaDI0alQ1NVE#gid=0

You will see that some of the square categories have been merged into one to save having several categories all for squares. If I have put anyone's squares in the wrong category, please let me know and I will change it. Similarly, if I've made any other mistakes, please tell me. Thanks to Jean's wonderful spready, it is easy to make corrections!

    Back later!

 Hello to one and all, sorry I haven`t been about much lately but other STUFF has been getting in the way.
Finally seem to have got rid of the flu and lingering symptoms at last though.

Seems a bit quiet here at the moment, hope everyone is OK and just busy, busy.

A bit quiet here too, DS is away to London this week so Mum`s taxi is not so busy.:D
It`s his gf`s birthday today, so he`s down there to celebrate with her and another couple of friends from up here.
Would have been my 22nd wedding anniversary today as well. Weather is a wee bit better than it was that day - April showers, more like April downpours :rotfl:. Just grey and cloudy today.

Well, little Jayden had his third birthday last Sunday. Doesn`t time fly, seems just like yesterday I watched him make his appearance in this big old world. He`s a right wee chatterbox these days, sometimes my ears hurt . He hardly stops from the minute he gets up till he goes to bed, love him to bits tho` i do sometimes go into my bedroom and shut the door for some peace and quiet ;)

Been busy with the granny squares again. Sent a load off to prfungi for ptb`s blanket (and the kiddies ones) Forgot to count how many there were but it was 525g in weight so quite a few.
Some of them had been sitting in a bag for a while waiting for something to be done with them, and others were the `new stocks`I`d been using up bits and bobs on. Progress on the decluttering.........just not happening fast enough.

Have 2 blankets in the sewing up stages, one shades of blue the other in yellow, orange, terracotta and a rusty red shade. Swap about between them, when I get fed up of one I go and do a bit of the other one.

Off to have a cuppa and stick on the bolognese sauce to cook for tonight.
    Love to all.

ps. JEAN - I have some bits and pieces here for the knitting show as well. A couple of boxes full.

    Hello everyone.
Got back VERY late last night so just managed to read back a bit but most importantly wanted to pop in and say Hi!!
We had a wonderful holiday with DS,ddil and William. He loved every minute of it and was a complete funny, charming, excited star. Just lovely ---- and exhausting!

I just enjoyed being all together so not much hooking done. I am looking forward to some now if I can keep my eyes open!!!

I came home to wonderful surprises and I really am completely awed by the generosity of " friends" on this lovely thread. You are all so kind and generous. Also generously thinking of ways to make my charity plans possible.

Talking of that I had a message from the lady who has sold the hedgehog Hospital. She is actually going to be employed by the new owners to tend the hedgies ( not the knitted ones!!!!) And she has shown the new owners the knitted ones and she loved them and wants to stock them in the shop to raise funds so that is great news.

If anyone wants me to start any little projects for up and coming fayres etc will you please give a shout as I have some down time for a while and would love to pay back some of the kindness I have been so happy to share here.

I will read back and pop back soon after I have caught up with everyones news xxxxx
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • Lovin that wee doggie Pippa.....think he looks the business! I for one am really pleased you didn't manage to get a photo of it onto the forum - cos I got to spend some time in pippas flickr account looking at all the lovelyness.... cor what a lot of lovely work in there.
CHALKY - glad you had a good holiday with the family, hope you got tons of photo's to let you reflect when they have moved just what a wonderful time you all had together. Happy to see the hedgehogs will still be needed - not sure if I have any of that awful yarn left but will go and see - it really does have to be used up - along with some bobbley stuff I have - I keep meaning to use it but then it gets poked to the back of the stash for months!
It has been pouring all rotten day got soaked walking dogs - they don't like the wet so won't go out in it unless a 'JUMAN' goes with them!! Forecast for tomorrow is dry - so I just might get some proper outside jobs started - I am not foolish enough to say finish them!

    this weeks update

3 LH challenge items (that's 1 pillowslip frock, 2 teddy bags - might get the teddies done on the knitting machine tomorrow if I do I will change this)

Elaine, will send you a pm - but thank you for doing some bits for the exhibition - should have enough to cover a table! If not I will just have to lie on it!
Lots of love and cuddles to you all, keep warm and safe,

Hi all I know MIA again ........ what with half term and Mr F1 deciding to be ill (tut tut) I dont know where the time has gone - havent done any blogging - popped in to LH a couple of times to keep up with square production for the blankets but other than that ............................. not much.

Have been feeling a little "lost" with regards the knitting - Im desperately trying to get my head around "direct sending", its very wrong I know to have relied on Lou @ LH so much but knowing that she would gratefully direct it to the relevant good causes meant I knew all was well and it kept it under "one umbrella" also now I have to think about the postage again it looks as if Im being mean leaving it to LH to pay but I always popped a little donation in as well as contributing to the Coffee Mornings for postage well sadly my "pots" cant do it all - and with two or three parcels going off it actually works out more than just one box. This subject has been on LH sooooo much and caused so much unrest I dare not bring it up again. I think Ive just about got it sorted this time with a box going off to one of the other members who is in one of the sub-groups for her to use towards their chosen causes near them and I still think a box is going off up to Lou (not sure yet). Whatever Im sure it will sort itself.

Then I got to thinking about other causes and I came across some chemo hats and have been on the hunt for some Cancer charities or groups that collect hats for patients undergoing chemotherapy (it does seem very big in America), if anyone knows of any just let me know. I have been told about Maggies but there are none in my local area.

So thats me over-analyzing everything as per usual :D:D

I hope you are all keeping as well as you can - chalky lovely to see you back, sounds like you had a lovely time - hope DD is still in love! ISOM - hope you are feeling better back up and running - ptb - thinking of you - and a great big hug and lots of love tucked in too to all of you xx

Once get back into term time I will be back with you - thinking of you all xx
