Might be a bit adventurous but I always liked doing difficult patterns. Stops me from getting bored with it.

    Afternoon all,
just relaxing for a bit been sooo busy today, I woke up this morning feeling restless and needing to get things sorted out by that I mean drawers and wardrobes, they seem to fill up so much over the winter, with the result one filled charity bag and OH has taken it down to the CS.
He's been moving the piled up snow on the front drive in the hope that the sun will thaw it out...not that it feels warm enough but well you never know...

I had some wool given me over the weekend 17 assorted balls most with the bands on, some 50grs and some 100grs works out to over 1200grs lovely yarn some of it Rowan cotton...but such a shame it smells of cigarette smoke not too strong though so I put it on the line in mesh bags under the back cover for 2 days, I checked earlier and it seems to have worked :T

chalky - have a lovely refreshing holiday it's just what you both need...your DS,DDIL and William what could be better than that :) yep I have 2 bags of knitted squares from MrsTwins sitting here waiting to come down to Devon later this month. What a shame about the prickly ball I hope the new owners will continue with tradition as you say
jean - all that choccy ooo yummy :) thanks for the link I started one last night and have passed the info on to my friend Jo and she will pass it on...those poor little children all the suffering it makes us realise how fortunate we all are
psso - hope you are feeling better now :)
prfungi - I will PM you for address, I haven't been in to L/H lately I have trouble getting in sometimes
PTB - I am so sorry to hear your sad news and am sending comforting (((hugs))) your way xx
kathy - any news on the house?? I hope things are getting sorted for your BIL
shaz - hope things are working out for Josh and you and your Mom are ok
isom - How are you feeling now? taking it easy I hope
ginny - bet your little DGS loved the easter eggs :icotbaske
anakat - he is gorgeous love the colours

Hi everyone - we are just getting back to normal after a lovely weekend with DH's brother and his family who came up from the south of France; we've eaten a lot and drunk a lot (not just alcohol, I hasten to add!).

I hope you all had a good Easter.

Jean -hope you don't get too much of a choccie hangover!

Pippa - I hope you manage to get the ciggie smell out of that wool.

Anakat - what a gorgeous giraffe! Thanks for the link to Postpals - it looks like a wonderful idea for a cause.

DeliciousDi - a warm welcome to you! I hope you like it here!

Prfungi - thank you so much for letting us know about PTB's father. Please pass on my condolences to her at such a sad time. I will check out my wool stash and hope to make a start on a memory square later this evening. As soon as I have finished this post, I will email you for your addy.

Chalky - hope you have a great holiday. I was so sorry to hear about the hedgie centre.

Thanks for all your good wishes and kind thoughts for my BIL. Things are much the same for him but he has not lost his sense of humour. At the moment, what causes him the most distress is that he is now so underweight he feels the cold all the time. If the doctors can help him to be able to eat without feeling sick all the time, at least he will be able to put on some weight to help him fight the cold.

Well, I've done the update - a bit late because our visitors didn't leave until yesterday afternoon, and we had friends call in for coffee and a chinwag this morning, so I've only just managed to find time for a sit down at the computer.

Here is the link to the update spreadsheet:

What a day so much running around today...never mind it kept me warm for a while anyway :)

It's very quiet in here lately hope you are all busy doing good things.

kathy - The smoky yarn seems to have lost the smell so hanging it out side helped,
ginny - I hope you and OH are ok you haven't been in for a while and I have been wondering about you both x
Hello deliciousdi never had chance to work on the squares last night but hopefully they will be done tonight,

Thanks for asking Pippa. We are ok, OH is in bed after a very busy couple of weeks. Firstly I got a dreadful flu type bug then DGS got a tummy bug :eek: just as his Mummy and Daddy were moving house. they only moved round the corner so did it bit by bit. We had to visit my Mum on Monday as she was having a thyroidectomy Tuesday - all done and she is happily home with nothing more than a bruised neck - amazing woman - I was worried as she is 82 but she did fine.

We picked DGS up Monday after Mums and then had him everyday for 7 hours or so. He was very good but I am worn out now. His bug finally went and he is now eating everyone out of house and home :D

Havent acheived much knitting except a few cup cakes and havent been able to shop or get to the post office as DGS doesnt do well with shops etc and likes to climb out of his car seat everytime we stop so he can sit in front with Grandad so its easier to stay home and play int he hosue and garden.

Anyway back to normal now, shopping done and we are off out for lunch tomorrow for our 33rd wedding anniversary. Hoping to get to the garden centre too. hope everyone is getting a little sunshine, warmth would be too much to ask but the sun makes you feel a bit better doesnt it?

    hugs to all xxx
