Just grabbed a minute to read back. Lots of gentle thoughts to all those with their hands overflowing. 2013 seems to be whizzing by in a blur. I don't seem to have done any charity hooking at all. But I know Pippa will soon bring lots of squares from Mrs Twins and I will get stuck into Operation Stitch up straight away.

Lots of us have worries and family problems and I hope they soon ease.
We had a very big surprise this week as Dsil has decided to buy DMIL'S barn. She lives in Aberdeen with her husband and has recently retired. So they are moving to Devon and after living 12 hours away they will be about 500 yds. So, that saves so much hassle with estate agents etc.etc.dmil would be thrilled.

We are going on holiday tomorrow with Ds,DDIL and sweet William who is actually pretending to be the seagull from finding Nemo at the moment and is going around the place squawking VERY loudly especially if there is food about!!!! So I think we shall need a holiday to recover

I had some sad news from the hedgehog hospital yesterday. The lady who runs it is splitting up from her husband and the business has been sold. She was in tears when I was talking to her and I felt really sad about it all. So, can I thank all the lovely people who have sent hedgies in the past:A:A:A. I will go and meet the new owners once they move in and see if they want to carry on the tradition but will have to wait and see. Please hold on to any flat hedgies you may ave in the pipeline for me at the moment

This week I had an act of kindness which has made me feel totally humbled. A lady from Japan sent a parcel of goodies which have given me so much pleasure. It really has made my week. Have a look on the blog if you want to read about it. A reciprocal parcel is on its way with some goodies and hooky things as well.

Well what a ramble. I want to end with a group hug and a goodbye for a while. I think hooky stuff will take a very back seat over the next few days but I promise to catch up when I get back and I think my first work will be squares for Syria. What terrible things are going on in the world. Love to friends old and new
Try and do a good deed every day.

I am co-ordinating a memory blanket for her over on LH, 8" squares Pinks/Purples if you'd like to contribute. PM me for my Addy.

    Love to all

  • Thanks for sharing the link to LILY and for helping the Syrian refugees, your squares are very much needed.
  • Welcome deliciousdi..........the more we spread the word the quicker we can all do something to help - it may only be a few squares at a time but it will grow and grow!

Oh think I should mention having given up chocolate for lent I managed to eat all the chocolate in the house over the weekend and now feel stuffed..... don't think I will need any more till next Easter!
Have a great day folks - lots going on in my neck of the woods - but I will pop in when I can

One of the charities I like is this one http://www.postpals.co.uk/ I like the idea that the card or gift goes to a specific child. One little girl I read about likes Giraffes, so I cannibalised a couple of patterns and came up with this
